I am selling my 2011 Harley Davidson Forty-Eight. The stock pipes have been replaced with black slip-ons and holeshot covers over the existing chrome. I still have the stock exhaust and will include it if requested. The tank is a burnt orange, but I fabricated some tank covers to change to look of the bike. They also served as a later of protection for the paint. I have the stock seat, a passenger bump seat and passenger foot pegs. I also made saddlebags from old military gas mask bags. All the modifications I have made can easily be taken off so the bike is back to stock condition and a blank canvas for your customization.
This has been a great bike, never wrecked, always adult driven and always garaged. Other than general maintenance, I haven't had to do anything to the bike. I have a clear title. I hate to sell it, but I don't have the opportunity to ride as much as I first did. I am happy to assist with pickup or shipping in any way I can. As Pete wrote in our own review, the Harley-Davidson Sportster Forty-Eight has a rugged, bobber-inspired look with its chopped fender, chubby front tire and underslung mirrors. For the guys over at Cycle Canada, the Forty-Eight conjured up a rather odd image: roller derby.

Harley-Davidson to Assemble More Models in India
Mon, 04 Mar 2013Harley-Davidson is expanding its assembly operations in India, increasing the number of models imported as complete knockdown kits to nine. Harley-Davidson will now assemble the Fat Boy, Fat Boy Special and Heritage Softail Classic in India, joining six models already being assembled in India. The move follows India’s new budget which increases import duties on motorcycles with engines larger than 800cc to 75% from the previous rate of 60%.
