Harley-Davidson Sportster description

2011 Sportster Forty Eight in excellent condition. Barely ridden and never abused. 807 miles. The only modification is the baffles have been removed to make it sound like it's supposed to. Runs and shows excellent. Rides like a sport bike with its oversized front and rear tires. The bike is located in Valparaiso Indiana and must be picked up. If shipping is required the buyer must arrange it. I will work with the shipping company for an easy and smooth pick up if needed. I encourage bidders to come see the bike in person or ask questions before placing a bid. You won't find a cleaner bike for a better price. Sold as is where is.

With plans to consolidate the Daytona Sportbike and Supersport classes and the Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson series signed through 2015, a spot will open up on race weekends for another racing class to support the premier Superbike Championship. The logical choice is to introduce a new small-displacement class.

Fri, 29 Jul 2022

Production ramps up to meet year-end targets Back in May, Harley-Davidson announced it would temporarily halt motorcycle production due to a “regulatory compliance matter” regarding an unspecified part from a third-party supplier. Harley-Davidson initially estimated the stoppage would last two weeks but it eventually lasted 19 days before production resumed on June 6. The actual cause for the delay remained unclear some speculating the issue was related to the powertrains, as the stoppage only affected Harley-Davidson’s gas engine-powered motorcycles and not the electric LiveWires.
