Harley-Davidson Sportster description

This 2009 XR1200 is 1 of the 750 Orange bikes produced for the U.S. on the first year of stateside production.  The only hard changes to stock are the addition of a rear fender elimination kit with a LED brake light and LED blinkers (I do still have the original rear fender and lights).  The body work and exhaust are both in excellent shape as they haven't been on the machine, I've had aftermarket bodywork and exhaust on since the 50 mile mark back in 2009 (I just reverted back to stock this past week to sell).  I've also installed a K&N air filter and put Throttlemeister bar ends on.  The bike is currently sitting on Pirelli Angels front and rear, there's still good tread on them but probably 1 season or less of riding on them left.  I've thoroughly kept up with all required maintenance and it's had synthetic oil in all it's internals since the first H-D Dealer servicing.

I do have the custom painted real carbon fiber body work, BuB exhaust, Storz billet reservoir re-locator, and Power Commander V w/auto tune fuel boxes as shown in pic 3 (OK, you can't see the fuel boxes, but they'll be available).  I also have the H-D Tank/Tail bags.  All of these items are available to the winner at a negotiable price if they are interested.

Shipping - Pick-up is preferred, however I'm willing to deliver up to 350 miles for the cost of gas money (est 19 MPG).  I'm also willing to work with whatever shipping you choose if you are further away, i just have no idea how to set up shipping a vehicle.

Payment - Non-Refundable $500 Deposit due within 72 hours of the end of the auction, 10 days for the remainder or at the time of delivery/pick-up.  I accept cash or certified funds, Paypal is fine for the deposit but not the full purchase price.

This bike will not disappoint!  Please ask questions, i'm sure I missed something.

Harley-Davidson Reveals Project Livewire

Thu, 19 Jun 2014

Yesterday we published a scoop on what we believed to be a production electric motorcycle by, of all companies, Harley-Davidson, dubbed “Livewire.” Today, H-D officially announced Project LiveWire as the company’s first electric motorcycle. However, it appears as though our speculation about LiveWire going into production was a bit off base. Instead, The Motor Company is continuing with its customer-led product development approach and letting riders decide whether or not LiveWire sees the light of day. Starting next week select consumers across the country will be able to ride and provide feedback on the bike, helping to shape the future of Harley-Davidson’s first-ever electric motorcycle. While not for sale, Project LiveWire is specifically designed for the purpose of getting insight into rider expectations of an electric Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
