Harley-Davidson Sportster description

                                                           2009 Harley Davidson Nightster Custom

Up for auction is my 2009 Harley Davidson Nightster Custom Bobber "BAD ASS" bar hopper. This is a 2009 Nightster 1200 that I did some performance and style changes on before I even took it for it's first real ride. I bought this bike new in 2010 as a leftover and have been enjoying it ever since, by far the funnest bike I've ever owned. The bike has 8300 miles, it's been serviced every season and has never been dropped or in any kind of accident. Other than a few miner scuffs this ride is sweet. For a little more style I changed the bars out for a set of black Roland Sands Design 8" Vintage bars, relocated the front blinkers to the fork triple trees, swapped the mirrors for a set of black Arlen Ness mirrors and made a custom speedo cup and machined a H-D 48 speedo housing to fit the Nightster risers for a real clean look that sets off the bars. Take a look at a stock Nightster speedo and see how silly and out of place it looks standing almost strait up in the middle of the bars. As for the performance side of things I installed a set of black Vance & Hines Short Shot Staggered pipes, a Vance & Hines computer, a K&N open air cleaner and had it dyno tuned at the local Harley dealer. Up front on the forks I installed a steering stabilizer to take care of any high speed wobble and a new rear tire about 200 miles ago. This bike handles like a sport bike, runs like a bear and is tons of fun to ride. I've been on poker runs to five hour rides with no complaints, runs strong, handles great and is very comfortable to ride. Paint is stock H-D matt black and silver two tone with some custom old school pin striping. This sale also comes with a quick release sissy bar and a add on rear seat. You will not be disappointed with this purchase, 100% ready to ride. Purchaser must make a $500 paypal deposit within three days of auctions end, balance must be paid with cash in hand, certified check or bank transfer. I will  store the bike for as long as it takes for the new owner to pick up. This is your opportunity to buy an awesome bike at a great price. Thanks for viewing my sale.

Terminator 2 Harley-Davidson Is Coming Home

Tue, 04 Feb 2014

If you thought Arnold Schwarzenegger’s greatest role was in Terminator, then you should make your way to Milwaukee: The Harley-Davidson Museum has acquired one of the few surviving 1990 Harley-Davidson FatBoy motorcycles used in the filming of Terminator 2: Judgement Day. At the time of filming, the FatBoy was one of Harley-Davidson’s newest models, and the one now in the Museum’s permanent collection was ridden by Arnold Schwarzenegger in the 1991 action classic. “Terminator 2 is an iconic film and a celebrated piece of pop culture history,” said Jim Fricke, Curatorial director of the Harley-Davidson Museum.

AMA Pro Racing Announces Basic Twins Flat Track Class for 2014 Season

Fri, 12 Apr 2013

AMA Pro Racing announced a new class for Flat Track racing designed to provide a new stepping stone for up-and-coming Pro-licensed racers, replacing the Pro Singles class in 2014. The new class, to be called Basic Twins, is more or less a revival of the Basic Expert Twins division that ran during the 2007 and 2008 seasons, but dropped when the Pro Singles class was introduced for 2009. The new class will give young racers a chance to showcase their skills on Twins, easing their transition to eventually enter the Grand National Expert Twins class.
