2008 Harley-Davidson Sportster Low XL1200L, There are only two features on this bike that differ from its factory set up. The first is a set of forward foot controls with Kuryakyn custom front foot pegs. The second is an engine guard that I hope that you will never have the occasion to use (except to mount highway pegs). There is a good reason that this model is called "LOW". The riders seat sits just 26.3 inches above the tarmac. This is the 1200 (the smaller motor is an 883cc) model. It has standard fuel injection and a 4.5 gallon fuel tank. There is plenty of room for two and it will cruise smoothly thanks to its rubber mounted V-twin motor which also offers great fuel economy at freeway speeds. Fri, 09 Mar 2012The Harley-Davidson Screamin’ Eagle/Vance & Hines racing team unveiled its restyled V-Rod drag motorcycles ahead of the first Pro Stock Motorcycle round of the 2012 NHRA Full Drag Racing series. Reigning champion Ed Krawiec and Andrew Hines will compete for the Harley-Davidson team on new V-Rod drag bikes, restyled to more closely resembled the Night Rod Special production model. This marks the first restyling of Harley-Davidson’s NHRA competition bikes since the V-Rod entered the competition in 2002, and comes as The Motor Company celebrates the V-Rod’s 10th anniversary.“The goal was to make the drag racing motorcycles look more like the current production Night Rod Special motorcycle,” says Kris Schoonover, Harley-Davidson racing manager.

Harley Recalls 25,000 2014 Touring Models
Wed, 16 Oct 2013Harley-Davidson is acting quickly to address potential safety issues by voluntarily recalling certain 2014 Touring motorcycles equipped with a hydraulic clutch system that may pose a safety issue for riders and/or passengers. The recalls include a Do Not Ride notice to owners and a Do Not Deliver notice to Harley-Davidson dealers until the motorcycle is fixed. “The safety of our customers is our highest priority,” said Tony Wilcox, Harley-Davidson General Manager of Motorcycle New Product Delivery.
