2006 Harley-davidson Sportster on 2040-motos

Up for sale is my 2006 Harley Davidson XL1200R Roadster model. I bought this bike last December in AZ from the original owner who was an older gentleman (late 60's). He had bought it new to ride along with his son, who ended up moving back to Chicago, and the bike didn't get ridden much after that, hence the low miles. I had been looking for a 2006 R model for months and when I finally found this one, I snapped it up. It is the first year for the black wrinkle motor on an R model, and the last year of carburetion, which is what I had been wanting. If you're looking at this ad, then you like this bike for the same reason I like this bike.  Sportsters are a dime a dozen in most cases, but this one is kind of special.  This bike was absolutely bone stock when I bought it with 5000 miles on it. It had just had the 5K service done. It now has 6900 miles on it, and now sports some nice improvements. I have added a K&N air filter, Samson Pamona pipes, and the appropriate jetting to the carburetor. It runs absolutely perfect. I also have a HD quick release windshield, black HD sissy bar and luggage rack, and a HD Sundowner seat for the bike. I have also added Burly brand Stiletto shocks in the rear (stock ride height) as well as Burly Progressive springs and new fork oil in the front (kept stock ride height as well), along with fork gaiters. I have also added 3 position adjustable HD highway brackets and pegs, for stretching out the legs. If you know what the R model is, then you know it was the sportiest sportster, dual disc brakes, dual gauges, slightly higher ride height, and mid controls. This bike is unique, and this style has come back in a big way, HD has even brought back the R for 2016.5.  It handles tight in the corners, and the motor rips after the stage one tune up. This is a bike to be proud of. I have every record of it's maintenance written and dated in the owners manual, as well as two sets of keys and security key fobs. It also has new tires that have a little less than 1500 miles on them. It's been perfectly loved and cared for, never spent a night outside of a garage in it's life, and shows as "Excellent condition". Maybe even "Like New". I absolutely love this motorcycle, but have others, and have my eyes on something else, and not enough room to store everything. I have to have $5000 for this bike to sell it. It is ready to hop on and ride across the country in confidence, and includes the extras I mentioned. I am not interested in trades, nor offers. The bike is totally worth what I'm asking for it. I take excellent care of my belongings and it shows. You won't find a nicer one. No gaudy modifications on this one, just nice touches to improve sound, performance and versatility.
