2005 Harley-Davidson Sportster XL 883L, The pink is only a sticker and will come off. - The name is 883 Low. But that by no means marks its place on the fun scale. This new lower Sportster model grabs attention and hugs the curves just like the rest of its XL family. We lowered the front and rear suspensions and gave it a sleek low solo seat to make it the easiest Sportster out there to throw a leg over. Getting the 883L off the kickstand is as easy as the low custom look is on the eyes. That custom look begins with a fresh graphic treatment. No other 883 has it. Then we pulled back the polished handlebar and stretched it wider for a riding position unlike any other. Power comes from the recently redesigned Evolution engine, rubber-mounted so your backside isn’t just lower, it’s more comfortable, too. When you’re out on the road, riding low, it’s hard to imagine how anything could be higher up on the fun scale. 2010 Harley-Davidson Edition F-150 Revealed
Wed, 11 Feb 2009Unveiled at the Chicago Auto Show this week, the 2010 Harley-Davidson Ford F-150 is officially the first Harley-Davidson edition truck to be constructed from the award-winning 2009 F-150 chassis. This niche market co-branding exercise marks the 14th Harley-Davidson edition of an F-Series truck dating back to 2000. The collaboration between these two companies has produced eight F-150 models, as well as six Super Duty F-250, F-350, and in 2009, the first Harley-Davidson F-450 edition truck.
Arlen Ness B-Day Bash At Petersen Museum
Fri, 31 May 2013On July 12 the Petersen Automotive Museum is throwing a birthday party for one of motorcycling’s customizing icons, Arlen Ness. The B-day celebration will be followed by a V-Twin Cruise-In on July 13 and punctuated by a summer-long exhibit entitled Arlen Ness: Art on Two Wheels. The July 12th birthday party is open to the public and the $95 ticket price puts you in the company of Arlen and other customizing aristocrats and also includes cocktails and dinner.
AMA Honors Zero and Scot Harden with Bessie Stringfield Award
Tue, 04 Mar 2014The American Motorcyclist Association has bestowed a special recognition award to Zero Motorcycles and its Vice President of Marketing, Hall-of-Famer Scot Harden, for their work in attracting new riders and the positive impact they’ve delivered to mainstream media. Harden (pictured above from our recent Zero FX dirt riding review) and Zero were awarded the AMA Bessie Stringfield Award which recognizes individuals who have been instrumental in bringing emerging markets to motorcycling. The award is named after 2002 AMA Hall of Fame inductee Bessie Stringfield, the first African-American woman to ride solo across the United States and a civilian motorcycle dispatch rider for the army in World War II.
