Harley-Davidson Sportster description

This bike started life as a stock 2002 Sportster 1200 Custom. Everything on the bike except the motor and trans has been modified or customized.

The frame has been hardtailed using a Led Sled weld on hardtail. The front section of the frame is still stock which means this bike retains its stock VIN number and can be titled and insured easily.

The handmade gas tank and rear fender are both covered in House of Kolor Kandy Tangerine over an Orion Silver Metalflake base.

The oil tank, exhaust pipes, velocity stack, and fender struts are all handmade, polished stainless steel.

Lots of custom one of a kind pieces on this bike include:

Stainless steel 2-into-1 exhaust
Stainless steel velocity stack
Handmade gas tank, rear fender, and Stainless oil tank
Custom License plate mount/tail light
Brass foot controls
Shaved and lowered front end
Hand tooled leather seat
Biltwell Ape hanger bars with Whiskey throttle and black metalflake grips

This bike is light, nimble, and really fun to ride. It handles like a sports car and sounds as good as it looks.

All work completed by a certfied TIG welder and HD Certified Mechanic.

Bike is used and sold as is no warranty. Buyer is responsible for all shipping and transportation.  We have a couple of shipping companies we use and will help you in whatever way we can to make transport as easy as possible.

EBR Nation Part 3: Made In America

Wed, 10 Aug 2011

Erik Buell Racing has released the third episode of its series about the new 1190RS sportbike. The latest episode focuses on the company’s “Made in America” philosophy, with its goal of producing a high-performance superbike in the U.S.A. As Erik Buell, racer Geoff May and designer Tony Stefanelli discuss the themes of innovation and freedom, we can’t help but wonder however whether they’re talking about American ideals, or about being out from Harley-Davidson’s umbrella.

Harley-Davidson Reveals Project Livewire

Thu, 19 Jun 2014

Yesterday we published a scoop on what we believed to be a production electric motorcycle by, of all companies, Harley-Davidson, dubbed “Livewire.” Today, H-D officially announced Project LiveWire as the company’s first electric motorcycle. However, it appears as though our speculation about LiveWire going into production was a bit off base. Instead, The Motor Company is continuing with its customer-led product development approach and letting riders decide whether or not LiveWire sees the light of day. Starting next week select consumers across the country will be able to ride and provide feedback on the bike, helping to shape the future of Harley-Davidson’s first-ever electric motorcycle. While not for sale, Project LiveWire is specifically designed for the purpose of getting insight into rider expectations of an electric Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
