Meticulously maintained, immaculate condition. Upgraded Buchannan laced wheels with stainless steel spokes, stainless steel hardware throughout, and wide flat track bars. Tires are Dunlop 401 with low miles. Save $$$ on insurance premiums for 883 titled Sportster while enjoying the git-up of the 1200 Lightning powerplant. US Motorcycle Thefts Down 6% in 2011

Americans reported 46,667 motorcycle thefts in 2011, a 6% decrease from 49,791 stolen motorcycles in 2010, reports the National Insurance Crime Bureau. Despite the drop in reported thefts, the non-profit organization representing nearly 1100 property and casualty insurance companies says the theft rate still averages out to one motorcycle stolen every 11 minutes in the U.S. The numbers were published in the NICB’s 2011 ForeCAST Report which examined theft reports as well as recoveries.

46,061 Motorcycles Stolen in US in 2012

An average of 126 motorcycles were stolen in the U.S. every day in 2012, according to a report released by the the National Insurance Crime Bureau. That’s from a total of 46,061 motorcycles reported stolen that year a 1.3% improvement from the 46,667 motorcycles reported stolen in 2011.

New Screamin’ Eagle Drag Racing Championship Series for 2013

The NHRA today announced the formation of the Screamin’ Eagle Championship Motorcycle Series for 2013. The new series will feature five classes: Top Fuel, Pro Gas, Draggin’ Bagger, Street Pro and Hot Street. The 10-race series will compete at divisional events as part of the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series, in addition to the Sportsman ET Motorcycle class that currently competes at various NHRA divisional events.
