Harley-Davidson Sportster description

1996 Harley-Davidson Sportster 883 , I'm selling a 1996 Harley Sportster 883 bobber with a rigid rear end and a 200 rear tire. The bike is obviously a project. I just recently bought this myself but I just found out that the navy is moving me overseas shortly and I don't have the time to finish it. The seals in the top of the motor have been recently replaced. It's set up for a suicide shifter right now but needs clutch cable for suicide or traditional clutch assembly. Both tires are new but the guy I bought it from paint the read tire to a white wall and it needs some work. I still have the paint if you want to keep that going. All the parts are here except clutch cable, clutch assembly, kickstand, seat springs, and speedometer. I think that's it. It has all the electronics and a single bobber style brake/rear light. The gas tank currently has a flat black spray paint on it. Seat springs and rear fender need to be fabbed up and mounted. It's a great project bike and not very complicated. I'd love to keep it but my situation has recently changed. I'll post more pictures on Saturday. Email, call, or text 386-547-8932 Posted with eBay Mobile $3,000.00 3865478932

AMA Honors Zero and Scot Harden with Bessie Stringfield Award

Tue, 04 Mar 2014

The American Motorcyclist Association has bestowed a special recognition award to Zero Motorcycles and its Vice President of Marketing, Hall-of-Famer Scot Harden, for their work in attracting new riders and the positive impact they’ve delivered to mainstream media. Harden (pictured above from our recent Zero FX dirt riding review) and Zero were awarded the AMA Bessie Stringfield Award which recognizes individuals who have been instrumental in bringing emerging markets to motorcycling. The award is named after 2002 AMA Hall of Fame inductee Bessie Stringfield, the first African-American woman to ride solo across the United States and a civilian motorcycle dispatch rider for the army in World War II.
