2014 Daytona Bike Week Activities

Shake off the winter doldrums at Daytona Bike Week, one of America’s biggest motorcycling events, running March 7-16. The 73rd running of the Daytona 200 is a big draw, but it’s just one of the events being held through the week. US Highland Making a Comeback

US Highland appears to be making a comeback, announcing plans to begin processing new orders and having discussions with several OEMs for the use of the Oklahoma company’s powertrains. The Tulsa-based company did not mention which OEMs it is working with, though US Highland says the discussions could result in sales of over 20,000 units per year. The company is developing fuel injected V-Twin engines in 750cc, 950cc and 1050cc displacements and Singles in 350cc, 450cc and 507cc displacements.

Dodge City 300 Looking To Celebrate Centennial Anniversary In 2014

In 1914 the city of Dodge City, Kansas held a motorcycle race, the Dodge City 300, attracting over 17,000 spectators. By 1921 there were more than 20,000. The race was held on a two-mile dirt oval and was sanctioned by the FAM (Federation of American Motorcyclists).
