Harley-Davidson Sportster description

This ride is sweet, in great shape and runs great too.  It's a Hugger so it sits very low and is great for a smaller rider (5'2-5'9) like me. It has a small dime size dent on the left side of the tank and the right turn signal needs to be replaced. Everything else is in working order.  New tires, battery, and starter, 2012 riding season (under 1000 miles ago). Speedometer was swapped out 3824 miles ago. There was supposedly around 10,000 miles on the other one so figure 13,824??  I don't know and didn't really care. When you test ride this bike, you won't care either.  This is a unique bike with many upgrades as you can see from the pictures. It has been garage kept and has a clear title from the state of Illinois. I'll even toss in a cover for those of you who don't have storage.

Want to Buy the Pope’s Harley?

Mon, 13 Jan 2014

In February, Bohnams auction house in Paris will allow both the Catholic and the Harley faithful to bid on a Harley-Davidson Dyna Super Glide owned by none other than Pope Francis, himself. Given to the Pope last year as part of the Harley-Davidson 110th anniversary celebration, the bike was unlikely to become the Popecycle because of the security required to protect the pontiff. The Pope donated the Dyna to the Roman Catholic charity Caritas Roma but not before signing the tank with “Francesco” at a special ceremony at the Vatican last November.

The lower seat isn’t the only change to accommodate shorter riders.

Built For Speed Art Exhibit To Be Displayed At Sturgis Buffalo Chip

Wed, 23 Jul 2014

“Built for Speed – Race Inspired Motorcycles and Art” is the title of Michael Lichter’s 14th annual “Motorcycles as Art” exhibition in Sturgis this August, which for the second year in a row, will be jointly curated by Michael and Paul d’Orleans of the Vintagent. ‘Built for Speed’ is sure to impress visitors with a beautiful and thought-provoking display of motorcycles and related art, the race-inspired theme making connections between motorcycle racing and custom bike designs inspired by racers. Each custom bike in ‘Built for Speed’ reflects a branch of racing; Speedway, Flat Track, Drag Racing, Board Track,  Grand Prix, Land Speed Record, and will be displayed beside the racing machines suggesting the origins of each style.
