1977 Harley-Davidson Sportster XLT, 1000cc, Iron Head, "Baby Dresser." The bike has about 38k original mileage. Most things work on the bike as they should and it starts, idles and goes down the road well. The rear brake does not work, the tires should be replaced and there a few leaks that should be addressed. I've ridden it about 3 miles and it seems tight. You don't see many of these out there and it is a very unique design. The forward controls, the "tank lift," exhaust and the rear shocks all appear after market. Other than that, and a little Harley "bling," the bike appears original. Might as well start the auction at the reserve, $1500.00. Dave Grohl Drums to the Sound of a Harley-Davidson Motorcycle
Fri, 31 Jul 2009I’ve got a lot of respect for Dave Grohl. He’s amazingly talented and very driven. Even after Nirvana, the guy is still kicking and in the spotlight with the Foo Fighters and the millions of other side projects he’s done (ie: Queens of the Stone Age). Apparently he’s also a big motorcycle guy. Harley-Davidson did a little video on Dave, featuring him drumming on a snare drum to the exhaust pipes of a Harley-Davidson. The seven minute video goes on about how Mr Grohl bought his first motorcycle when the Nirvana album “Nevermind” started to become big.
