Harley-Davidson Sportster description

1965 Harley-Davidson Sportster XLH. Used, with a very good engine and trans. Cylinders are .050 over, heads are rebuilt. About 2-300 miles on rebuild. It has PB+ cams, cast iron body lifters from a super CH in excellent condition. The rocker boxes are rebuilt, new pushrod covers, new chain, new battery. The belly numbers on the engine match and it is in it's original frame with a very nice looking original front end. It has a Bendix carb and a Fairbanks Morse magneto. The production numbers for 1965 on the XLH were 955. The bike comes with nothing more or less than you see in the pictures except an NOS owners manual. Clear title in hand, in my name. I accept cashiers checks or wire transfers only. Thank you. Sold as is. actual mileage is unknown.

2014 AMA Pro Flat Track Grand National Championship On The Line At Pomona

Fri, 10 Oct 2014

Granted, flat track racing isn’t our specialty at MO, but we’re no doubt fans of the action. See our coverage from the 2012 season finale for proof. The following is from an AMA Pro Racing press release: A total of 15 races over eight months couldn’t separate Jared Mees and Bryan Smith by much.

More Evidence of a Harley-Davidson Pan America 975 Emerges

Mon, 17 Oct 2022

Earlier this year, we wrote about how signs of a Pan America 975 were mistakenly mentioned in an official Harley-Davidson web page for an accessory locking fuel cap. Up until shortly after our article went live, the page listed the fuel cap as being compatible with the RA1250 (Pan America 1250) and RA1250S (Pan America 1250 Special) as well as two unannounced models: the RA975 and RA965S, which we assumed to be Pan America models powered by the 975cc version of the Revolution Max engine, like the one equipped on the Nightster. Motorcycle.com has now obtained further evidence of the existence of middleweight versions of Harley-Davidson’s adventure-tourer, once again from Harley itself, as well as the U.S.

Five Takeaways from Harley-Davidson's Q4 2022 Results

Thu, 02 Feb 2023

Del Mar delays, Project Fuel and the X350RA Harley-Davidson presented its fourth quarter 2022 financial results, and the results were generally strong, but not without a few hiccups. The quarter was strong, compared to the previous year, with revenues ($1.14 billion vs $1.02 billion), operating income (profit of $4 million vs loss of $7 million) diluted earnings per share ($0.28 versus $0.14) showing increases in 2022. For the year, Harley-Davidson reported revenues of $5.76 billion compared to $5.34 billion in 2021, and an operating income of $909 million compared to $823 million in the previous year.
