1965 Harley-Davidson Sportster XLH. Used, with a very good engine and trans. Cylinders are .050 over, heads are rebuilt. About 2-300 miles on rebuild.It has PB+ cams, cast iron body lifters from a super CH in excellent condition. The rocker boxes are rebuilt, new pushrod covers, new chain, new battery. The belly numbers on the engine match and it is in it's original frame with a very nice looking original front end. It has a Bendix carb and a Fairbanks Morse magneto. The production numbers for 1965 on the XLH were 955. The bike comes with nothing more or less than you see in the pictures except an NOS owners manual. Clear title in hand, in my name. I accept cashiers checks or wire transfers only. Thank you. Sold as is. actual mileage is unknown.

46,061 Motorcycles Stolen in US in 2012

An average of 126 motorcycles were stolen in the U.S. every day in 2012, according to a report released by the the National Insurance Crime Bureau. That’s from a total of 46,061 motorcycles reported stolen that year a 1.3% improvement from the 46,667 motorcycles reported stolen in 2011.

More Evidence of a Harley-Davidson Pan America 975 Emerges

Earlier this year, we wrote about how signs of a Pan America 975 were mistakenly mentioned in an official Harley-Davidson web page for an accessory locking fuel cap. Up until shortly after our article went live, the page listed the fuel cap as being compatible with the RA1250 (Pan America 1250) and RA1250S (Pan America 1250 Special) as well as two unannounced models: the RA975 and RA965S, which we assumed to be Pan America models powered by the 975cc version of the Revolution Max engine, like the one equipped on the Nightster. Motorcycle.com has now obtained further evidence of the existence of middleweight versions of Harley-Davidson’s adventure-tourer, once again from Harley itself, as well as the U.S.

Mopar to Sponsor Canadian Superbike Championship

Chrysler’s parts and accessories brand Mopar has signed on to be the title sponsor for the 2012 Canadian Superbike Championship. Mopar replaces Parts Canada which recently ended a 22-year partnership with CSBK over controversial comments made by the series organizer on an Internet forum. The seven-round CSBK series includes separate pro and amateur Superbike and Sportbike classes, as well as a Harley-Davidson XR1200 Cup and a new spec series for young riders featuring the Honda CBR250R.
