Harley-Davidson Sportster description

This auction is offering a chance to finally get one of the best custom Sportsters ever built.

The motor was pumped professionally by John Prince & Danny Rich.  John did the machine work on the barrels & heads.  Danny did the reassembly using using Sifton parts & firing the motor. John Prince made a lot of accessories including the oil tank I used. They were both super people to do business with. R.I.P.

Back in mid1978 I went to Fremont Drag Strip, best run was 11.80, smooth running fast sportster.
In one of the photos you can see I was really enjoying my ride,  37 years ago...8]

A few more years passed, things change, career, marriage, family etc. I had to put it in storage (1980.)

The motor has a joe hunt mageneto, Sudco Mikuni with accelerator pump, has a Barrnet clutch & tranny was updated (fourth gear) just before the sport went into storage so I would call the last 2 items like brand new.

Brought the sport back out of storage approx. 2010, the whole bike was updated also went to .040 over on the upper end.  Its in excellent condition and still runs awesome,  only thing is that I can't ride her anymore so  I decided not to just let it sit,  that someone will enjoy it as much as I have,

If you use "buyitnow"  & if needed,  I will pay for shipping, otherwise shipping will be paid by the buyer reaching minimum reserve amount

Good Luck,  any questions just ask

Zero Motorcycles has promoted Abe Askenazi to the position of chief technology officer. A former Buell engineer, Askenazi joined Zero Motorcycles in 2010 as vice president of engineering where he played a vital role in developing the company’s 2011 line-up, overhauling over 80% of Zero’s existing electric motorcycle line-up while adding the Zero XU and street legal versions of the Zero X and Zero MX in just 10 months on the job. “Abe’s ability to effectively execute on an aggressive product development plan, select the best new technologies and rally his team is remarkable.

2013 AIMExpo: Sumo-X – Video

Thu, 24 Oct 2013

Harley-Davidson riders like to customize their rides and Sumo-X gives them some interesting storage and style options, which we saw at the 2013 American International Motorcycle Expo in Orlando, Fla. The Sumo-X Tour Pack offers an incredible amount of storage behind and around the seat for Harley dressers. It allows you to access two bags or whatever else you’d like to keep in its cavernous opening.
