Harley-Davidson Sportster description

This auction is offering a chance to finally get one of the best custom Sportsters ever built.

The motor was pumped professionally by John Prince & Danny Rich.  John did the machine work on the barrels & heads.  Danny balanced upper & lower ends, reassembled the motor while upgrading with alot of Sifton items. John Prince made a lot of accessories,  including the oil tank I used. They were both super people to do business with. R.I.P.

Abt May 1978 I took the sportster to Fremont Drag Strip,  ran 3x,  best run was 11.80,  a smooth running fast sportster!

In one of the photos you can see I was really enjoying my ride,  37 years ago.  8]

A couple years went by,  things change,  career,  marriage,  family etc. I had to put it in storage (1980.)

The motor has a joe hunt mageneto,  Sudco Mikuni with accelerator pump,  has a Barrnet clutch & tranny was updated (fourth gear) just before the sport went into storage so I would call the last 2 items like brand new.

Sportster is in excellent condition,  still runs awesome & hoping someone will enjoy this bike as much as I have.

Good Luck,  any questions just ask

No, you didn’t read that headline wrong. Harley-Davidson will reveal its Street line of motorcycles to the US market at the X Games today with an ice racing exhibition. While exciting, the winter X Games have clearly been lacking one thing – motorcycles – and the Motor Company has joined with ESPN to bring ice racing to mainstream audiences.
