For Sale is a Custom 1956 KH Model Harley Sportster w/ a 900 Ironhead top end w/ Columbus Springer stock length front end
This is a NO RESERVE auction Bike runs/ drives very good. Has lots of new and aftermarket parts(as listed below) This is a classic example of the 56kh model being adapted to an early ironhead top end to make a stroked 64.50 cube 1057cc ironhead Original numbers matching 56kh bottom end and clean title. Motor is kick start only. 4-6 kick bike every time Hasnt been out this year yet since being put away for winter. NEW/ AFTERMARKET PARTS
Very nice example of a classic/ custom K model ironhead stroker setup. Isn't perfect, but close. does have a couple of small paint chips on the rear fender by the seat mount/ tanks and front fender. Carb could use some fine tuning w/ the adjustable main , but the bike DOES NOT backfire. Otherwise ready to ride/ customize as is. Engine doesnt smoke and has good compression w/ no oil blow bye on the rings does have a front sprocket cover oil leak when running, not major, but worth mentioning.rear upper jug mount is broken Bike has a clean/ clear Numbers matching Ohio title Buyer responsible for all shipping costs.Bike is located in Durand,MI zip 48429.Local pickup offered. Because the event was so popular, The Art of Rebellion one-night only event quickly became a month long showing. Artwork was for sale and the proceeds were donated to Art Matters, a foundation that assists socially and aesthetically groundbreaking artists.
2014 Harley-Davidson Touring Models Recalled for Pinched Brake Lines
Wed, 09 Jul 2014Harley-Davidson is recalling 66,421 motorcycles because of a problem with the front brake lines getting pinched. The recall affects all ABS-equipped 2014 touring and CVO touring models including the Electra Glide Ultra Limited, Electra Glide Ultra Classic, Street Glide, Road King, CVO Limited and CVO Road King. Police and Shrine edition models are also affected, as are the Twin-Cooled version of the Electra Glide Ultra Classic and the Road King Classic which are produced for other markets.
Laguna Seca Added to 2014 AMA Superbike Schedule
Thu, 13 Mar 2014AMA Superbike will be racing at Laguna Seca this year after all, with AMA Pro Racing announced the addition of the Monterey, Calif., circuit to its 2014 schedule, joining the World Superbike Championship on July 11-13. Laguna Seca was not included in AMA Pro Racing’s calendar, but its addition now increases the number of rounds in the series to six. That’s still down from the nine rounds held in 2013, but the absence of Laguna Seca and its famed Corkscrew would have been an especially tough loss.
