Harley-Davidson Softail description

For sale is an 2006 Deuce FSXTDI that's in excellent condition. Gloss black color with custom subtle purple flames on the tank. The bike is all stock except for the Vance and Hines Short Shot exhaust system and the foot pegs. The pipes give the bike a great sound and a custom look. Both tires are new and have less than 1000 miles on them / fuel injected 96 cc engine / chrome in excellent condition / vinyl protective film on top of rear fender. Includes the Clymer 672 page complete maintenance, troubleshooting and repair manual. All fluids recently changed and ready too ride.


I purchased the bike several years ago from a dealer when it had approximately 10,000 miles on it. I have put the remainder of the miles on it and without any issues at all. It runs great and I'm selling it only because I bought a touring bike and really don't need, nor can I afford, to have two bikes. I have a clear WV title. The high beam headlight indicator light works backward and the left rear turn signal has a scuff in the chrome. NADA average retail is over $11,000.00 and my reserve is much less. Feel free to ask questions or come too see it.

US Motorcycle Thefts Down 6% in 2011

Americans reported 46,667 motorcycle thefts in 2011, a 6% decrease from 49,791 stolen motorcycles in 2010, reports the National Insurance Crime Bureau. Despite the drop in reported thefts, the non-profit organization representing nearly 1100 property and casualty insurance companies says the theft rate still averages out to one motorcycle stolen every 11 minutes in the U.S. The numbers were published in the NICB’s 2011 ForeCAST Report which examined theft reports as well as recoveries.

Bryan Smith edged out Kenny Coolbeth Jr. by a mere 0.041 seconds to win the AMA Pro Flat Track Experts Twins race at the Springfield Mile. The ten laps of the race saw Smith and his Kawasaki battling for the lead with Coolbeth and Jake Johnson and Jared Mees sitting close behind waiting for an opening.
