Harley-Davidson Other description

PLEASE READ ALL OF THIS DETAILED INFORMATION CAREFULLY.

PLEASE NOTE; ...BEFORE Bidding please let me know your pickup and payment intentions or I WILL CANCEL YOUR BID.

This is a pretty rare 1943 G Servi-Car from my own personal collection that is from what I remember one of only a few dozen civilian units made that year.

I am relisting this and will entertain a $12,750 buy it now from someone who has cash in hand and a truck and can deal with the NO Title Bill of Sale only issue.

And please, no long term long distance relationships from needy buyers who want someone to hold their hand and can't step up to the plate.

I will go even lower in price to 12,000 if you don't want the restored speedo and maybe the winter windshield and if interesed don't wait to contact me.

This Servi-Car was cosmetically redone and repainted quite a few years ago and never really driven and still looks good except for a few scratches here and there.

When I got it a few years ago I had the Motor and the 3 speed and reverse Transmission gone through and added the correct rebuilt M-16 Linkert Carburetor.

It was driven around the block a few times and put away in storage because winter had arrived and now it needs some break-in miles, final adjustments and fine tuning.

It goes down the road nice and straight and does not wander, wobble, shimmy, shake, rattle or roll.

It has a good and very very low VIN Number 43G10xx and matching belly numbers with perfect Cases and Cylinders and Heads with NO broken fins plus a 3spd+R Trans.

When describing this machine I hesitate to use the word "restored" as it is not really correctly done for a 1943 war year machine as far as plating goes.

War Year machines should have no chrome and mostly Parkerized Hardware along with Painted Gas Caps, Tank Emblems and some other items.

I had planned on replacing the incorrectly finished and smaller reproduction parts on the machine but never had the time or money and now i'm thinking of selling it.

The Box and all three fenders are all newer reproductions and that never really bothered me as I was only looking for a driver.

I was only looking for something to enjoy and would replace the incorrect bolt on parts and reproductions with War Year correct parts when I found the right ones.

Those repops I planned on swapping include the headlight, horn front fender light, tank emblems and tail-lamps and maybe the seat.

Those are all pretty much bolt on items that are available from time to time here on ebay and at Antique Motorcycle Swap Meets.

I did buy an expensive restored Speedometer from Janus in Canada and a nice original Black Dash Cover with original base with an Ignition Switch that go with the bike.

Other nice original items are the OEM Steel Brake Lever, Shifter and Daka-Ware Knob, Gas Tanks, Exhaust System and more.

I show a Chrome Towel Bar sitting on top of the Lid Catches as it does not have the same diameter and I never explored what's wrong and why it won't fit?

I found and installed the correct Kicker Arm and it no longer hits the ground when kicking it over.

The Exhaust system is original and the muffler has the H-D name and Part Number on it as shown in the photos.

The Repop Box and Fenders to me look very nice and so do the original Gas Tanks, Frame and Springer.

The solid steel floor of the box compartment has an old shag rug installed and I had planned on making up a mock wooden floor but never got around to it.

The whole under-carriage is exceptionally clean except for a few cob-webs shown in the photos and the enclosed chain guard is intact and in nice condition!

The Winter Windshield is a real nice NOS OEM H-D unit I got it a few years back and is in unbelievable shape for being over 50 years old!

The Air Cleaner is an original Chrome Plated Steel J-Slot with the tag attached but the chrome has some pitting.

The Box Pad is most probably an older reproduction and is really nice and still looks new!

I do not have a Title and it will be a BILL OF SALE ONLY deal.

If that is not acceptable to your States Motor Vehicle Department do not bid please!

Before bidding PLEASE let me know what your pickup and payment thoughts and intentions are and please spare me from any difficult long distance long term relationships.

.Please ask any questions you have through ebays message system and for my Phone # if seriously interested in bidding and or buying.

If you have a BUY IT NOW price in mind as ebay will allow me to add that option as long as I have no bids placed on the auction.. Thanks!

Actor and Avid Rider, Lorenzo Lamas, to Lead Charity Ride for Abused Children

Thu, 08 Mar 2012

Slated to join Lamas are actors/riders from Sons of Anarchy, Southland and American Ninja, as well as law enforcement and the general public, on the ride that will depart from Bartels’ Harley-Davidson in Marina del Rey, Calif., and end at the Newport Dunes Resort in Newport Beach, Calif. Church of MO: 1997 Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail Classic

Sun, 17 Apr 2022

How many 25-year old motorcycles are still being sold anyway? The Honda XR650L springs to mind, but other than it, it’s too early on Easter Sunday to investigate further. Granted, the Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail Classic has undergone enough changes as to really not be the same machine anymore, yet that indelible American profile, architecture, and riding experience remain the same.
