1962 Harley Davidson FLH PanheadCustom built Bobbed Chopper. This bike has an original 62 FLH Harley enginethat has been all gone through and an original transmission and many otherparts that have been restored/rebuilt. The frame is a Harley Davidson frame,NOT AFTER MARKET...This is a real old school bike, mostly original parts withsome aftermarket parts. The bike has about 700mis on the rebuilt engine...It's got a sportster gas tank on top of a 1958 up swing arm FLH front framewith a rear weld on hardtail making it into a rigid. The bar are 18"inchape hangers, 4"inch risers, 6"inch flat rear fender, chrome headlamps over under, cat eye tail light, shotgun exhaust, stock chrome Harleyhorseshoe oil bag, 16" panhead star hub rear wheel, 16" panhead starhub front wheel, Bendix/Kehien carburetor, beehive air cleaner, manual advancepoints distributor, upgraded twelve volt electrics, 1936-1964 four gear kickertransmission with brass kicker pedal, solo bobber seat with 3" inchsprings, stock mousetrap clutch, duo glide front end with stock panhead left drumfront brake, stock hydraulic rear brakes, 1962 Harley panhead motor with Timkenbottom end bearings. US Highland Making a Comeback

US Highland appears to be making a comeback, announcing plans to begin processing new orders and having discussions with several OEMs for the use of the Oklahoma company’s powertrains. The Tulsa-based company did not mention which OEMs it is working with, though US Highland says the discussions could result in sales of over 20,000 units per year. The company is developing fuel injected V-Twin engines in 750cc, 950cc and 1050cc displacements and Singles in 350cc, 450cc and 507cc displacements.

Arlen Ness B-Day Bash At Petersen Museum

On July 12 the Petersen Automotive Museum is throwing a birthday party for one of motorcycling’s customizing icons, Arlen Ness. The B-day celebration will be followed by a V-Twin Cruise-In on July 13 and punctuated by a summer-long exhibit entitled Arlen Ness: Art on Two Wheels. The July 12th birthday party is open to the public and the $95 ticket price puts you in the company of Arlen and other customizing aristocrats and also includes cocktails and dinner.

Legends Ride Stops Sturgis Traffic

This is a small sample of the participants in Monday’s annual Legends Ride from Deadwood to Sturgis. Hundreds of bikes thundered through the Black Hills toward Sturgis on Monday afternoon, creating a cacophony not heard in these parts since, well, last year. The sixth annual Legends Ride draws thousands of riders, spectators and celebrities to the historic city of Deadwood, South Dakota each year on a charitable pilgrimage to the Buffalo Chip Campground, and organizers said Monday’s edition was likely the largest ever.
