2014 Harley-Davidson XL883N - Sportster Iron 883, Take a look at this new 2014 Sportster 883 IRON in black denim paint!! This blacked out bad boy is powered by a quick 883cc fuel injected motor, and it really moves with that lightweight chassis. The wrinkle black motor looks great with that denim paint and the contrast cut wheels, and check out the cool style of the low profile solo seat. Mid-mount foot controls keep your feet planted firmly underneath you, so you know that you have total control when tearing up the back roads on this Sportster! Don't forget the newly updated performance braking system for this 2014 model year!2014 Harley-Davidson Sportster Iron 883This blacked-out bruiser is a raw, aggressive throwback. No chrome, no apologies just an authentic ride.Key Features:Side-Mounted License PlateTrue to the clean, fast lines of the bike, the side-mounted license plate leaves the rear fender surface smooth and uncluttered. Minimal and unique every inch of the Iron 883 motorcycle is styled to perfection to achieve a raw, custom look.Evolution Engine HeritageThe Evolution engine known in certain crowds as the Blockhead was first bolted to the frame of a Harley-Davidson motorcycle back in 1984. Born from legendary Shovelhead and Ironhead engines, the Evolution engine broke new ground in displacement innovation while maintaining the hunger for power, durability and proven reliability that The Motor Company was built on.New Foundation Brake SystemLike riding itself, you can never go too far when it comes to improving a bike s brakes. This is why for 2014 we gave the brake system of each Sportster model a complete overhaul designed to improve performance, fit and finish. We increased the size of the brake rotors from 292mm to 300mm, and added a more powerful, stylized front caliper with 34mm pistons, and stylized rear caliper to match. Other system features include an improved all-aluminum integrated rear master cylinder with reservoir, new all-aluminum front master cylinder with reduced friction and higher efficiency, and stainless steel braided lines. It all adds up to more confidence on the road, and more power and predictability when you squeeze the brakes.Low Seat & Slammed SuspensionThe combination of a lowered front and rear suspension together with a low, narrow solo seat just 25.7 inches high provides comfort and confidence for riders of all sizes and experience. A responsive ride for whipping through town or busting out onto the interstate.Mid-Mounted ControlsLet your boots fall where they may, naturally to the mid-mounted controls and rider foot pegs on the Iron 883 model. An easy reach and tight rider triangle is confidence-inspiring for new riders eager to set off on their journey and riders whose legs run slightly shorter than others.

The 2022 Harley-Davidson Icons Model May Be the Low Rider El Diablo
Tue, 22 Feb 2022The devil is in the details Earlier this year, Harley-Davidson revealed a new Low Rider ST featuring a FXRT-inspired fairing. Initial reaction to the Low Rider ST was very positive, with Jochen Zeitz, Harley-Davidson chief executive officer, claiming in Harley-Davidson’s Q4 earnings call “demand was so high for this bike that we sold out our first consumer allocation in 10 minutes.” While the retro fairing might not appeal to everyone, one other critique about the FXLRST (and a few other bikes in the 2022 lineup) is the rather drab selection of colors: Vivid Black and Gunship Gray. If you’re looking for a more vibrant Low Rider ST, you may want to wait a bit longer, as Harley-Davidson will be introducing a new variant to be called the “Low Rider El Diablo.” The name appears in vehicle emissions certification from the U.S.
Vespa goes back to the future
Thu, 22 Nov 2012IT'S been a while coming, but the gorgeous Vespa 946 - EICMA 2012's Best of Show - has finally introduced something to the two-wheeled world that our four-wheeled counterparts have had for a while. I call this 'reverse retro-futurism' - the art of borrowing lines from models past and imbuing them with a sleek sense of future direction (as opposed to retro-futurism, the pre-1960s design trend of depicting the technology of the future. The term 'decopunk' may come close, but feel free to tell me if there's a more exact term.) It's what the New Mini and the New Beetle (both 1997 and 2012 versions) have done so well, and so successfully: building an all-new model as a tribute to a classic, something that's modern yet already timeless, with a widely-appreciated, inclusive aesthetic (and here we eliminate the Plymouth PT Cruiser from the conversation). The biking world is great at retro, indeed thrives on it, but not so good at adding in a taste of the 21st century.
Who To Watch In The AMA Pro Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson Series
Thu, 13 Mar 2014The Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson Series is set to kick off this weekend at Daytona International Raceway, and the competition looks set to be as close as ever. In the contest’s three-year history, the combined margin of victory stands at just over two tenths of a second. And last year’s dogfight saw ninth position take the checkered flag less than eight tenths removed from the victory. Each previous contest has developed into a full-blown drafting war, with the class’ evenly matched machinery testing the tactical acumen of its pilots as they negotiate the high banks within inches of one another.
