2014 Harley-Davidson Street Glide Special, Street Glide Special - When it comes to stripped down bagger style, highway comfort, modern technology and an unruly attitude, this is the new state of the art. The 2014 FLHXS Harley-Davidson Street Glide Special motorcycle is a new Harley-Davidson touring model that elevates the experience of riding a hot rod bagger to a whole new level. As part of Project RushMore, this new Harley-Davidson touring motorcycle has been built from the ground up with new features that have never been seen on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle before. The batwing fairing has been totally redesigned to maintain its iconic shape, yet reduce head buffeting. There's a new high output Twin Cam 103 engine mated to a 6-speed Cruise Drive transmission that puts more low end torque and more passing, hill climbing and passenger carrying power at your disposal when you turn the throttle. We've redesigned the saddlebags for a sleeker look and added new latches that you can operate with one hand. The 2014 Street Glide FLHXS Street Glide motorcycle features the new Reflex Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with dynamically, electronically linked brakes for optimum braking regardless of road conditions. The new Boom Box 6.5 Infotainment system takes your music and technology to a place that has to be seen and heard to be believed. It features a 6.5-inch full color touch screen display and it can be operated by convenient new hand controls or by voice command. There are thousands of miles of road tests, countless hours and more rider input than ever before behind this new touring motorcycle. Owner of Tsunami-Tossed Harley-Davidson Found in Japan
Wed, 02 May 2012Harley-Davidson representatives in Japan have identified the owner of the motorcycle lost in last year’s tsunami but later found on a remote beach in Canada. The 29-year-old owner, Ikuo Yokoyama, lives in Yamamoto, Japan, in Miyagi Prefecture, the region hardest hit by the 2011 Japanese earthquake and tsunami. Yokoyama survived the disaster but lost three family members and is still living in temporary accommodations.

Thu, 13 Mar 2025Better than expected Photos by Bryan J Nelson and Kevin Wing. The Harley-Davidson Breakout was perhaps the biggest surprise for me in a number of ways. Thoughts of Orange County Choppers and other fads from the early aughts consume the same space in my mind as the Breakout.
