The 2014 FLHXS Harley-Davidson Street Glide Special motorcycle is a new Harley-Davidson touring model that elevates the experience of riding a hot rod bagger to a whole new level. As part of Project RushMore, this new Harley-Davidson touring motorcycle has been built from the ground up with new features that have never been seen on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle before. The batwing fairing has been totally redesigned to maintain its iconic shape, yet reduce head buffeting. There's a new high output Twin Cam 103 engine mated to a 6-speed Cruise Drive transmission that puts more low end torque and more passing, hill climbing and passenger carrying power at your disposal when you turn the throttle. We've redesigned the saddlebags for a sleeker look and added new latches that you can operate with one hand. The 2014 Street Glide FLHXS Street Glide motorcycle features the new Reflex Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with dynamically, electronically linked brakes for optimum braking regardless of road conditions. The new Boom Box 6.5 Infotainment system takes your music and technology to a place that has to be seen and heard to be believed. It features a 6.5-inch full color touch screen display and it can be operated by convenient new hand controls or by voice command. There are thousands of miles of road tests, countless hours and more rider input than ever before behind this new touring motorcycle. If you're looking for a hot rod bagger or a touring motorcycle that's as good on a city strip as it is on a mountain road, check out the Street Glide Special. And be sure to take a look at the specs of all of the H-D models for long distance touring, including the motorcycle luggage storage capacity of the Harley-Davidson Electra Glide Ultra Classic touring bike and the Harley-Davidson Ultra Limited motorcycles. And don't forget the rest of the Touring line-up Harley-Davidson has spent 110 years building for the long haul rider. Confirmed: Next Harley-Davidson Sportster Will Use Revolution Max 975 Engine
Thu, 07 Apr 2022The Nightster 975 has a certain ring to it We are less than a week away from the official reveal of Harley-Davidson‘s next Sportster, but we’ve managed to confirm the new model will use a 975 version of the Revolution Max engine. Harley-Davidson has been slowly revealing details of the new model, first with a teaser video and a number of social media posts. Harley-Davidson's Production Stoppage Was Caused by Non-compliant Brake Lines
Fri, 29 Jul 2022Production ramps up to meet year-end targets Back in May, Harley-Davidson announced it would temporarily halt motorcycle production due to a “regulatory compliance matter” regarding an unspecified part from a third-party supplier. Harley-Davidson initially estimated the stoppage would last two weeks but it eventually lasted 19 days before production resumed on June 6. The actual cause for the delay remained unclear some speculating the issue was related to the powertrains, as the stoppage only affected Harley-Davidson’s gas engine-powered motorcycles and not the electric LiveWires.
