2012 HARLEY-DAVIDSON XL1200C Sportster 1200 Custom, The 2012 Harley-Davidson Sportster 1200 Custom XL1200C is a true Harley Sportster custom motorcycle, just a little fatter and a little more custom than the other Sportsters. The fat front tire wrapped around a 16-inch wheel gives it a cool custom look and offers nimble handling. Stylistic components including new rear lighting, chrome 5-spoke cast wheels, and an old school looking pull-back handlebar give the Sportster 1200 Custom motorcycle unique Harley-Davidson style with modern motorcycle functions. A two-up custom seat gives you just enough room to bring a passenger along on your journey. The Harley Sportster 1200 Custom, like all H-D bikes, comes ready to be modified and accessorized to fit your body and personal style. The black powder-coated Evolution 1200 cc engine is rubber-mounted and air-cooled, featuring aluminum heads and cylinders for a lighter load and electronic fuel injection. AMA Honors Zero and Scot Harden with Bessie Stringfield Award
Tue, 04 Mar 2014The American Motorcyclist Association has bestowed a special recognition award to Zero Motorcycles and its Vice President of Marketing, Hall-of-Famer Scot Harden, for their work in attracting new riders and the positive impact they’ve delivered to mainstream media. Harden (pictured above from our recent Zero FX dirt riding review) and Zero were awarded the AMA Bessie Stringfield Award which recognizes individuals who have been instrumental in bringing emerging markets to motorcycling. The award is named after 2002 AMA Hall of Fame inductee Bessie Stringfield, the first African-American woman to ride solo across the United States and a civilian motorcycle dispatch rider for the army in World War II.
Harley-Davidson Museum’s Custom Bike Show Weekend on Labor Day

Starting Thursday, August 28 at 5:00 PM, the biggest bike night of the riding season kicks off the event-filled weekend. The holiday gathering will also include two custom bike shows, a women’s ride, displays of the 2015 Harley-Davidson Models, and the last chance to see the H-D Museum’s summer show entitled The American Road.
Harley-Davidson Discontinuing Road Glide and Other Models for 2014
Mon, 15 Apr 2013A leaked memo sent out to Harley-Davidson dealers reveals plans to drop several models from the company’s 2014 lineup. Slated to disappear are the XR1200X Sportster, the FXS Softail Blackline, and the FLHTC Electra Glide Classic. Also being discontinued, at least for 2014, is the FLTRX Road Glide Custom and FLTRU Road Glide Ultra, as the tourer models undergo a design refresh.
