Harley-Davidson Other description

Thanks for checking out this beautiful Ultra Classic with only 4K careful miles. This bike has a tiny blemish on the corner of the tour pack lid that has been touch up and other than that it is like new in every way. The vivid black paint is perfect as is the chrome and upholstery. The prior owner installed billet grips, smoked windshield and a factory lowering kit so this incredible bike will fit even a shorter rider. The twin cam 96 motor has plenty of power and runs super strong and the six speed tranny is silkey smooth. If your ready to hit the open road and cruise in comfort this is the bike for you. You can buy with confidence because this awesome machine has remaining factory until 4/2014. I have two keys and the fobs for the security system. We have been selling quality vehicles for 24 years and have a 100% ebay rating. Please review our customer feedback before making a decision. After reading the feedback you will know that like new is what you'll get. We charge no additional doc or dealer fees. Local buyers just add tax and tag and ride out. If you are out of the area I can assist with shipping. Financing is available for qualified local buyers and I will consider local motorcycle trades. This pristine Ultra is ready to ride anywhere so if you want an extra clean bike with extremely low miles here's your chance. If you have questions or would like to buy the bike call Steve Shay at (386)689-8900.Thanks

James Cameron’s New Movie “Avatar” to use “Motorcycle Riding Badass” template?

Thu, 20 Aug 2009

James Cameron, the genius behind such movies as Aliens, Terminator 1 and 2, True Lies, and The Abyss, has a new movie coming out this fall. “Avatar”, a sci-fi action movie, stars Sam Worthington, Sigourney Weaver, Giovanni Ribisi, Stephen Lang and Michelle Rodriguez, all of whom can be seen in the new pictures released yesterday by the studio. In one of the images we see Sam Worthington wearing a Harley-Davidson shirt and sitting in a bar.  Is this the story of an average tough guy who rides motorcycles and plays pool in bars, turned action hero who saves mankind?  Does Sam’s character, “Jake Sully”, ever get on a motorcycle in the movie or just shows his Harley support by wearing the T-shirt?

Vespa goes back to the future

Thu, 22 Nov 2012

IT'S been a while coming, but the gorgeous Vespa 946 - EICMA 2012's Best of Show - has finally introduced something to the two-wheeled world that our four-wheeled counterparts have had for a while.  I call this 'reverse retro-futurism' - the art of borrowing lines from models past and imbuing them with a sleek sense of future direction (as opposed to retro-futurism, the pre-1960s design trend of depicting the technology of the future. The term 'decopunk' may come close, but feel free to tell me if there's a more exact term.) It's what the New Mini and the New Beetle (both 1997 and 2012 versions) have done so well, and so successfully: building an all-new model as a tribute to a classic, something that's modern yet already timeless, with a widely-appreciated, inclusive aesthetic (and here we eliminate the Plymouth PT Cruiser from the conversation). The biking world is great at retro, indeed thrives on it, but not so good at adding in a taste of the 21st century.
