Harley-Davidson Other description
2011 Harley-Davidson Road Glide CVO ULTRA, I waited a long time to buy a custom Harley-Davidson and when I saw this bike, it was what I had been waiting for from Harley-Davidsons Custom Vehicle Operations (CVO) collection. This high-end bike blends boutique hardware, sophisticated electronics, and paint with an elevated degree of fit and finish. This gives the rider the best of both worlds: the exclusiveness of a one-off custom with the everyday reliability of a production motorcycle from a prestigious American factory. Only around 3000 of this model were made so this Ultra Road Glide is a limited edition build. This Ultra Road Glide CVO luxury touring bike features a wide frame-mounted front fairing with dual halogen headlamps and stretched 16-inch windshield. The fixed hard saddlebags and top case are lined with a soft liner (soft luggage included also), interior lighting for night and a 12-volt plug for charging electronic devices. The saddlebags, top case and handlebars can be locked and unlocked remotely with the power lock system that is part of the bike security system. Above, a fixed rack allows you to strap additional or oversized cargo with you or the additional luggage that mounts on the top case rack. The bike comes with additional electronic gizmos in the form of a removable Road Tech Zumo GPS and a communication system with CB radio, AM/FM radio, CD player, iPhone/iPad docking module in the right saddle bag, intercom, and XM satellite radio capabilities for both rider and passenger. Navigating through the radios features is a simple affair (Controls on Handlebars/handgrips) as is using the touch screen GPS, even while wearing gloves. The bike has chrome everywhere from the motor to the mufflers and rolls on a pair of mirror-chrome Agitator wheels. The bike is finished in the custom Charcoal Slate and Black Twilight with Quartzite Graphic with color-matched inner fairing and instruments. The bike has wind deflectors on the engine guards that redirect air between the fairing. We found the touring seats extremely comfortable. Both have integrated dual-control heating elements and backrests with leather inserts (Heated Handgrips also). The passenger backrest also has adjustable lumbar support. I found the bike delivered great power with two riders and gear loaded to climb steep highway grades without the need to downshift to a lower gear. Clutch lever pull is both light and smooth and virtually no clutch slippage is required when launching from a stop. Handling-wise, the CVO Road Glide Ultra surprised me not only by how easily it changes course but how predictable steering feels for a bike that weighs around 905 lbs. The air adjustable suspension sorts out rough pavement well (I never had to add air to the system). The front and rear ABS brake system is calibrated well as I found while riding in the rain on a few trips. $32,000.00 9137060687
