Harley-Davidson Other description

2008 Harley-Davidson XL 1200L Sportster 1200 Low, Look at the photos. Just too much to name. - THIS IS WHERE LOVE OF TORQUE AND LOVE OF STREET COME TOGETHER. Long. Low. Forged from steel, dipped in chrome and perfected with 1,200-cubic-centimeters of meaty V-Twin. The lowered seat puts you close to the calibrated suspension. The style is classic Harley. Raw. Nothing watered down. The metal emblems on the tank just confirm what your two eyes already tell you is true. The proportions are built around the rider. The handgrips reach back to meet you at the center of the machine, joining comfort with performance. Just the way it should be.

Harley-Davidson has revealed a new member to its Dyna family featuring quick change convertibility from touring to cruiser mode. As we expected, the new Harley-Davidson Dyna Switchback features hard saddlebags and fork-mounted windshield that can be removed quickly and without tools, allowing it to change from a touring motorcycle to a cruiser, and back again. The Dyna Switchback uses Harley-Davidson’s Twin Cam 103 engine, 2-into-1 chrome exhaust, and five-spoke cast aluminum wheels with full fenders.

Relations between the U.S. and Cuba have been strained for decades but that hasn’t stopped some Cubans from enjoying a piece of Americana. About 70 Cuban Harley-Davidson riders (or “Harlistas” as they call themselves) gathered in the resort town of Varadero for the country’s first-ever Harley-Davidson rally.

AMA Honors Zero and Scot Harden with Bessie Stringfield Award

Tue, 04 Mar 2014

The American Motorcyclist Association has bestowed a special recognition award to Zero Motorcycles and its Vice President of Marketing, Hall-of-Famer Scot Harden, for their work in attracting new riders and the positive impact they’ve delivered to mainstream media. Harden (pictured above from our recent Zero FX dirt riding review) and Zero were awarded the AMA Bessie Stringfield Award which recognizes individuals who have been instrumental in bringing emerging markets to motorcycling. The award is named after 2002 AMA Hall of Fame inductee Bessie Stringfield, the first African-American woman to ride solo across the United States and a civilian motorcycle dispatch rider for the army in World War II.
