2008 Harley-Davidson FXDB Dyna Street Bob, Located at Whitts Harley-Davidson - BRINGS YOU BACK TO A DAY WHEN THE BEST WAY TO MAKE A BIKE GO FASTER AND LOOK UNIQUE WAS TO STRIP OFF METAL PARTS. What those riders and their torches stumbled onto was a look that hasn’t lost a thing. Sit in the solo seat, reach up to the high handlebar, and the feeling is unmistakable. There’s plenty to enjoy when it’s not in motion, too. Like the sculpted emblems on the Fat Bob tank. Black powder-coat and polished covers on the engine. Purists will recognize its no-holds-barred attitude. The neighbors will recognize its V-twin rumble. Let’s be straight about this. It’s what the road calls for.

Vespa goes back to the future
Thu, 22 Nov 2012IT'S been a while coming, but the gorgeous Vespa 946 - EICMA 2012's Best of Show - has finally introduced something to the two-wheeled world that our four-wheeled counterparts have had for a while. I call this 'reverse retro-futurism' - the art of borrowing lines from models past and imbuing them with a sleek sense of future direction (as opposed to retro-futurism, the pre-1960s design trend of depicting the technology of the future. The term 'decopunk' may come close, but feel free to tell me if there's a more exact term.) It's what the New Mini and the New Beetle (both 1997 and 2012 versions) have done so well, and so successfully: building an all-new model as a tribute to a classic, something that's modern yet already timeless, with a widely-appreciated, inclusive aesthetic (and here we eliminate the Plymouth PT Cruiser from the conversation). The biking world is great at retro, indeed thrives on it, but not so good at adding in a taste of the 21st century.

Watch As Motorcyclist Gets Chased By Elk – Video
Mon, 14 Oct 2013Apparently, elks aren’t too keen on motorcyclists, as the video below demonstrates. This couple, aboard what sounds like a Harley-Davidson (that potato-potato exhaust note is unmistakeable), were riding along in Missoula, Montana when this elk decided he wanted to take the road for himself. As traffic slowed and eventually passed, the elk took a growing interest in the couple on the motorcycle, approaching them.
