2008 Harley-Davidson FLHX, Absolutely beautiful and fully optioned FLHX Street Glide 105th Anniversary Edition with ABS brakes, Security system, and Cruise control. Finished in two-tone Anniversary Copper and Vivid Black, this bike is in near showroom new condition throughout with no scratches, dings, or signs of outdoor storage or foul weather riding. It is loaded with all the standard Street Glide custom touches, the aforementioned factory options, and a dealer installed a quick release detachable HD backrest. The bike runs and rides like new with no known problems or issues and both tires in very good condition. As a 2008 model this FLHX has the new larger fuel tank, Brembo brakes (with the optional ABS), Harman-Kardon advanced audio sound system with CD, 96" (1584 cc) engine with 6spd manual transmission, and more. Harley-Davidson Confirms 500cc Model on the Way, Says Electric Harleys Not That Far-Fetched
Mon, 02 Sep 2013It’s only been a couple of weeks since Harley-Davidson broke new ground by unveiling new “Twin-Cooled” liquid precision-cooling engine technology its new Project Rushmore suite of customer-driven refinements, but the Motor Company appears to have even more ambitious plans in the works. Speaking at Harley-Davidson’s 110th anniversary celebrations, Chief Operating Officer Matthew Levatich confirmed the company is producing a new 500cc model and opened the possibility of an electric Harley-Davidson somewhere down the line. We’ve previously written about Harley-Davidson’s plans to introduce a new 500cc V-Twin model for the Indian market.
Harley Declares Women Riders Month
Tue, 10 Feb 2009Back in July of ’08 Motorcycle.com announced that The Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum and Nationwide Insurance were working together to mark July as Women’s Motorcycle Month in order to honor the contribution made to history by female riders. This May, Harley-Davidson is staging a series of events in order to celebrate women on two wheels by declaring May, “Women Riders Month.” Some of the Harley-Davidson Women Riders Month initiatives will include special rides in New York City and Milwaukee as well as an attempt to grace the pages of the Guinness Book of World Records for the largest number of women motorcycle riders trained in one weekend. Harley-Davidson dealerships will also be hosting women-only Garage Parties, which consist of informal meetings in an unintimidating environment where women can learn about motorcycling.
