The 883L truly lives up to its name for the 50th, with its saddle sitting lower than ever this year. Your backside rides just over 25 inches off the pavement, urged on by the steady cadence of an 883 cc Evolution V-twin. You’ll notice how the flat handlebar comes back to meet your fists, and the reduced effort on the clutch. It’s a feeling you’ll want to go on for eternity. But once in a while you’ve got to plant the side stand. That’s when the low seat makes it easy for a rider of any stature to set both boots down flat on the ground. You realize that the whole bike is designed with rider ergonomics in mind. Once again, low is proving the comfortable way to go.

Zero Motorcycles Named to Made in USA Foundation Hall of Fame
Tue, 03 Jul 2012The Made in the USA Foundation has named Zero Motorcycles to its 2012 Hall of Fame class, recognizing the electric motorcycle manufacturer’s commitment to American manufacturing. Zero Motorcycles, founded in 2006 in Santa Cruz, Calif., by former NASA engineer Neal Saiki, becomes the second motorcycle manufacturer named to the Foundation’s Hall of Fame. Harley-Davidson was inducted in 2011.

Fri, 21 May 2010Harley-Davidson opened its first dealer in China in 2005, they now have four dealers operating nationwide (Shanghai, Beijing, Qingdao and Hong Kong). Harley reported that sales had doubled in China last year and plans to open four new dealerships this year (Wenzhou, Xiamen, Dalian and Chengdu). According to Rodney Copes, Harley’s Vice President of international sales, China is the fastest growing market for the American motorcycle manufacture.
