Cast wheels wrapped with 160mm rear rubber. - SIMPLE, RAW-BONED STYLE IN A NIMBLE TOSS-ME-A-LONG-SERPENTINE-STRETCH-OF-ASPHALT FRAME. Wanted: People possessing a maniacal devotion to two-fist navigation. We built our most generously priced Big Twin to be ridden long and often. Simple, raw-boned style in a nimble toss-me-a-long-serpentine-stretch-of-asphalt frame. Deep within the long and low custom styling lives 96 cubic inches of silver powder-coated volcanic V-twin. Fully loaded with six factory-fresh gears. Some view the Super Glide as a starting point for their own custom creation. Others revel in its simplicity. How you see it is up to you. Antiques Roadshow Visits Sturgis Motorcycle Museum
Wed, 17 Apr 2013While on location in the Black Hills of South Dakota, PBS’s Antiques Roadshow stopped by the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum to film a segment on motorcycle toys. In the segment host Mark L. Walberg talks with vintage toy expert Noel Barrett about various American-made, antique, cast iron motorcycle toys. Barrett shares the history of these early toys, some tips about how one might tell a reproduction from the real thing, and offers his valuation on several highlighted examples. Walberg also takes a ride on a vintage Harley-Davidson Servi-Car.
Bobby Petrino’s Harley-Davidson Available for Auction – Comes With Baggage
Wed, 09 May 2012A 2007 Harley-Davidson Road King Classic reportedly belonging to former University of Arkansas football coach Bobby Petrino is up for auction. Listed as salvage title, the Harley-Davidson is painted in the school’s colors and features a razorback boar – Arkansas’ mascot – painted on the fuel tank with the words “Hawg Wild”. Sports blog ArkansasaSports360.com reported it can confirm the bike was the one Petrino crashed April 1.
