1997 Harley-Davidson Fat Boy , Beautiful 97 Fat Boy for sale. It has had many upgrades; exhaust, intake, cam, head work, carb work, lots of chrome, custom paint....ect. The bike was purchased new by a family member and approximately 10k in upgrades were added. I have all the paperwork showing everything that has been done. The bike has been garage kept even while I was deployed. I have had the bike for the last 11 years and have not had any problems. I get compliments on it everywhere I go and the chicks dig it. Now that I'm married (partly to do with the bike) and live in a different area I think it time for something new. I still love the bike and hate to see it go, but I'm ready for a new project. I'm not looking for any trades. I know what I want to get but I need to sell this first. Anyway, it's been a very reliable and dependable bike and I'm asking $8500 OBO. Bonhams To Auction Wayne Pierce Family Collection Of Motorcycles Jan. 9, 2014, In Las Vegas
Fri, 04 Oct 2013On January 9, 2014, during the fourth annual Las Vegas Sale of motorcycles at Bally’s Hotel and Casino, Bonhams, the world’s largest auction house for cars, motorcycles and memorabilia, will be auctioning off over 50 motorcycles from the extensive Wayne Pierce family museum collection, all offered at no reserve. Among the machines is a first-year Harley-Davidson Sportster believed to be the 10th XL883 produced in 1957, a 1933 Harley VLE police bike that saw actual duty on the streets of Chicago before being cast in the 1987 Kevin Costner gangster movie, “The Untouchables,” and an authentic and unrestored 1947 Harley Knucklehead wearing period aftermarket accessories. Wayne “Pappy” Pierce started his Harley-Davidson dealership in 1957, run out of a one-room tin shed in DeKalb, Illinois.
Mopar to Sponsor Canadian Superbike Championship
Mon, 12 Dec 2011Chrysler’s parts and accessories brand Mopar has signed on to be the title sponsor for the 2012 Canadian Superbike Championship. Mopar replaces Parts Canada which recently ended a 22-year partnership with CSBK over controversial comments made by the series organizer on an Internet forum. The seven-round CSBK series includes separate pro and amateur Superbike and Sportbike classes, as well as a Harley-Davidson XR1200 Cup and a new spec series for young riders featuring the Honda CBR250R.
