Harley-Davidson Other description

2006 Harley-Davidson Street Rod, SADDLEBAGS, GRIPS AND MORE - What it has always been is a sleek, fast machine with a big hunger for straightaway acceleration. The reason is easy to see. It’s right there at the center. A liquid-cooled, fuel-injected 60° V-Twin Revolution powertrain. Dual overhead cams. Four-valve heads. Two aggressive-breathing velocity stacks housed in a massive air box. Wind the engine up to the redline and make short work of the next quarter mile and beyond. The rigid, hydro-formed frame puts all that power to thrilling use. We wanted stopping to be equally exhilarating as going. All VRSC bikes are now fitted with performance 4-piston caliper Brembo brakes. With all these goodies to play with, we took the most award-winning Harley-Davidson motorcycle down some new roads. No matter how you like to ride, with the additions of the Night Rod and Street Rod models, now there’s a VRSC bike that fits your style. But that’s not all that’s new for 2006. There’s also a 240mm rear tire kit available in late 2005 through Genuine Motor Parts and Accessories. Scorching asphalt has never been so much fun. Feast your eyes on the new roadster-inspired VRSCR Street Rod. Consider yourself tempted. Now get ready to unleash 120 horses on some winding asphalt. Crack the throttle up to the retuned Revolution engine’s 9,000-rpm redline and you get deep into one of motorcycling’s most satisfying powerbands. Hairpins are equally satisfying on a bike this agile. Inverted fork with sculpted triple clamp. Steep rake, cornering clearance and straight-shot dual pipes for 40° worth of lean. Mid-mount controls. Brembo brakes. Staggered 10-Spoke wheels. And a big 5-gallon tank. Because for all its curb appeal, the Street Rod is built to be ridden long and hard, far from any curb.

2023 Harley-Davidson X 350 Revealed for China

Fri, 10 Mar 2023

H-D/QJ Motor connection finally bears fruit Harley-Davidson has officially revealed the X 350 for the Chinese market, a small displacement flat track-inspired roadster produced with Qianjiang Motor (QJ Motor). As of this writing, the X 350 is only confirmed for China, though a modified variant known as the X350RA will be used in Harley-Davidson Rider Academy programs in the U.S. QJ and Harley-Davidson have been working on the X 350 since 2019, though the motorcycle traces its lineage a little earlier to the TNT300 from QJ-owned Benelli.

Motorcycles at the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show

Mon, 28 Sep 2009

Two weeks ago, I took a break from my regular duties gathering news for Motorcycle.com to fly to Germany to cover the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show for our sister site AutoGuide.com. For two hectic days, AutoGuide editor Colum Wood and I scrambled across the massive 6.2 million square foot Messe Frankfurt trade fair compound, running from press conference to press conference to get the latest on exotic sport cars, futuristic concept models and international unveilings from the automotive world. It was heaven for car lovers, but for me, it meant fighting my way through hordes of photogs, auto-journalists and car show models to get the first photos of four-wheeled goodies from MINI, Ferrari and Lotus.

2022 Harley-Davidson Road Glide ST and Street Glide ST First Look

Wed, 26 Jan 2022

ST models offer CVO-level performance Taking inspiration from its championship-winning King of the Baggers factory race bikes, Harley-Davidson introduces new, performance-focused ST versions of the Road Glide and Street Glide. Like Kyle Wyman’s King of the Baggers Road Glide Special racer, the Road Glide ST and Street Glide ST have been upgraded with some Screamin’ Eagle Performance Parts upgrades. Harley didn’t go so far as to install the same Screamin’ Eagle 131ci crate engine, but the new ST models do come with the Milwaukee-Eight 117 V-Twin with a high-flow intake, high-performance camshaft and a new exhaust to deliver the same level of performance as its CVO models.
