Harley-Davidson Other description

2006 Harley-Davidson FLHTCUI Ultra Classic Electra Glide, THIS CLASSIC HAS EXHAUST, INTAKE AND A RIDERS BACKREST - As anyone who’s ridden one will tell you, a Harley-Davidson touring rig always makes the road good. This year, it makes the road even better. All models get a reduced-effort clutch, a 50-amp charging system and more passenger room. And for the first time ever, H-D custom paint is available on select touring bikes. Stunning new color combos are sure to treat the eyes right. For 2006, the ears are in for a special treat, too. On all radio-equipped models, riders will be greeted with a new Advanced Audio System by Harman/Kardon designed to Harley-Davidson specifications. New speakers, AM/FM/WB/CD/MP3 and up to 80 watts of power. It’s sound you’ve never before heard on a motorcycle. What’s more, it offers greater versatility than most car audio systems. Through Genuine Motor Parts and Accessories, you can add XM satellite radio, a 160-watt amplifier, and even a CB radio. All can be integrated right into the stereo. So what’s holding you back? There’s an entire continent out there waiting to be explored. For those who want it all. The Ultra Classic Electra Glide. Down to the EFI Twin Cam 88 core, it’s everything you expect a Harley road machine to be. Powerful. Refined. Legendary. Then it goes further in the ways of creature comforts. Comfort-stitched saddle with wraparound passenger backrest. Spacious hardbags and a restyled, two-position King Tour-Pak with new LED side lights and more passenger room. Vented fairing lowers keep legs cool. Reduced clutch lever effort. Integrated storage. Electronic passenger controls. Cruise. A new Advanced Audio System by Harman/Kardon. But the best music is when rubber meets a few million miles of road. For a limited time, we are offering one-of-a kind, custom color combinations that are over and above the standard two-tone color options available during the model year. These limited color combinations come with a custom decal that is only available through the Custom Color program. Each color has unique complementing pinstripes.

Top-Selling Motorcycles in US in 2013: Harley-Davidson Street Glide Special and Breakout

Tue, 22 Apr 2014

It’s almost automatic every time we write about Harley-Davidson that the company’s critics jump out to say how its bikes are heavy or assembled from parts bin leftovers or technologically decades behind its competitors. What these naysayers either forget or completely ignore is that Harley-Davidson motorcycles continue to sell. In its first quarter 2014 financial report, Harley-Davidson reported a 5.8% increase in motorcycle sales including 3.0% in the U.S.

Motorcycles at the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show

Mon, 28 Sep 2009

Two weeks ago, I took a break from my regular duties gathering news for Motorcycle.com to fly to Germany to cover the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show for our sister site AutoGuide.com. For two hectic days, AutoGuide editor Colum Wood and I scrambled across the massive 6.2 million square foot Messe Frankfurt trade fair compound, running from press conference to press conference to get the latest on exotic sport cars, futuristic concept models and international unveilings from the automotive world. It was heaven for car lovers, but for me, it meant fighting my way through hordes of photogs, auto-journalists and car show models to get the first photos of four-wheeled goodies from MINI, Ferrari and Lotus.
