It’s pure custom, through and through. The factory ape hangers are a throwback to the tricked-out choppers of the ’70s. Grab hold and the road to Nowheresville calls your name. You’ll ride laid back on a custom stepped seat, boots stretched out to the forward foot controls. Chromed sissy bar and backrest. There’s a new Profile Laced wheel option. You also get staggered shorty duals, a stretched tank with flames and 3-D Bar and Shield emblem, plus a restyled console. All would be for naught without the right rumble. 2012 US Motorcycle Sales Results – Industry Reports 2.6% Increase
Tue, 05 Feb 2013The Motorcycle Industry Council reported a 2.6% increase in motorcycle sales in the U.S. market for 2012. According to the industry group’s figures, American consumers purchased 452,386 motorcycles in 2012 compared to 440,899 motorcycles in 2011.
Three-Year-Old Motorcycle Prodigy?
Tue, 18 Aug 2009Even though Tiger woods started paying golf at age two, this story of a three-year-old boy from New Delhi, India is probably just as impressive, maybe more. Azeem Khan, photographed on the Royal Enfield Bullet above, has been granted a special license by judges in India allowing him to ride his motorcycle on side roads but is not allowed out on the main roads by himself. Khan’s father had to customize the bike so that the young boy could reach the controls and prove that he could handle the motorcycle on his own. I used to sit him on my bike and he would always grab at the controls.
