2005 Harley-Davidson FXDL/FXDLI Dyna Low Rider, FXDL - The Low Rider model takes to the street as long, low and restless as ever. The profile is unmistakable, beginning up front with the raked-out fork, low-rise pullback handlebar and stretched tank. Downward and to the back, there are frame-mounted highway pegs, mid-mounted foot controls and a fat 150mm rear tire. Of course there’s the lowered suspension and low-slung seat. Those who like things on the low side will be riding just over 25 off the pavement and grinning ear to ear. That’s because everything about this riding position feels good. So it was only right that we give it the internal combustion to match. The Low Rider rides high on power with a wrinkle black and chrome Twin Cam 88 engine, in carb or EFI. It’s rubber-mounted, so the only thing about you that will ever be restless is your spirit.

Thu, 08 Mar 2012Lorenzo Lamas, the heartthrob who played ex-cop Reno Raines, a chopper/cruiser-riding beefcake sporting a flowing mane (that most women wished they had), out for justice in the ’90s TV drama, Renegade, is a real life motorcyclist, and will lead a charity ride on June 3 as the grand marshal for Child Abuse Awareness. Slated to join Lamas are actors/riders from Sons of Anarchy, Southland and American Ninja, as well as law enforcement and the general public, on the ride that will depart from Bartels’ Harley-Davidson in Marina del Rey, Calif., and end at the Newport Dunes Resort in Newport Beach, Calif. The quarter was strong, compared to the previous year, with revenues ($1.14 billion vs $1.02 billion), operating income (profit of $4 million vs loss of $7 million) diluted earnings per share ($0.28 versus $0.14) showing increases in 2022. For the year, Harley-Davidson reported revenues of $5.76 billion compared to $5.34 billion in 2021, and an operating income of $909 million compared to $823 million in the previous year.
