Combine a fat chrome handlebar, a custom headlight and riser cover, custom leather seat and pillion with chrome inserts, Detonator three-spoke custom wheels and matching rotors and sprockets, dual front disc brakes, and lowered front and rear suspension set this bike apart from the rest. A custom Candy Cobalt and Starlight Black or Yellow Pearl and Platinum Mist paint job bares its soul with a deep luster carried right down to the color-matched frame, accented with complementing pinstripes and Harley-Davidson script that stretches across the tank. The items belong to Ron Shreffler, former owner of a Harley-Davidson dealership in Manteno, Ill. At the moment, a recall has only been announced by Transport Canada; the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has yet to announce the recall due to the federal government shutdown, but recall notices are already being sent out to dealers in the U.S. According to the Canadian agency, the upper fork stem bracket was machined incorrectly, allowing for more steering angle than intended by the trike’s specifications.
