2003 Harley-Davidson Road King , Sweet 2003 Road King Standard for sale. This bike is in EXCELLENT condition. Black spoke 21 front wheel, 18 rear. HD Screaming Eagle Stage I kit. Mustang seat with removable sissy bar. 17 handlebars with internal wiring and stainless braided brake, throttle, and clutch cables/lines. Beautiful detachable fairing with 4 speakers and Kenwood CD player with auxiliary input and USB port. This quickly attaches and detaches from the bike in 5 minutes. A great addition for having some tunes while riding. Also included is the stock windshield, front passing lamps, front and rear turn signals and bars, chrome billet handgrips with matching highway pegs, and various chrome engine accessories. I HATE to sell this bike, but with the addition of our son to the family, the wife and I no longer have the time to devote to riding as we should. Survey Says Harley-Davidson and BMW Motorcycles Less Reliable Than Japanese – But Owners Don’t Care
Tue, 26 Mar 2013A new survey conducted by the Consumer Reports National Research Center finds BMW and Harley-Davidson owners are much more likely to report major problems with their motorcycles than owners of Honda, Kawasaki and Yamaha motorcycles. The survey, which will appear on the April 2013 issue of Consumer Reports, says one in three BMW owners reported experiencing a major problem with their bikes in the last four years. Harley-Davidson owners were slightly better, with one in four reporting serious issues.
Easy Rider 40th Anniversary
Tue, 27 Oct 2009Peter Fonda, who played Wyatt in the 1969 cult classic, Easy Rider, was in Glendale, CA on Friday to help promote the Blu-Ray release of the film which marks the 40th anniversary. The movie was scheduled to be shown at the Love Ride event that was canceled this year, instead the film screened at a local Harley-Davidson dealer. One of the film’s main objective was to expose violence and racism in the U.S. in a negative light but instead it seems that it was taken the wrong way with most, glorifying the lifestyle that was portrayed in the film.
Arlen Ness B-Day Bash At Petersen Museum
Fri, 31 May 2013On July 12 the Petersen Automotive Museum is throwing a birthday party for one of motorcycling’s customizing icons, Arlen Ness. The B-day celebration will be followed by a V-Twin Cruise-In on July 13 and punctuated by a summer-long exhibit entitled Arlen Ness: Art on Two Wheels. The July 12th birthday party is open to the public and the $95 ticket price puts you in the company of Arlen and other customizing aristocrats and also includes cocktails and dinner.
