2003 Harley-Davidson Low Rider , 100th Anniversary Dyna Low Rider $7,200 obo with many extras. Bike was just serviced including spark plugs, oil change, air filter, fork oil service, and new battery. Tires are new Dunlops with less than 1,000 miles. Extras include Vance and Hines straight shot pipes, Screamin Eagle intake, chrome spoke wheels, chrome inner primary, diamond plate forward controls and grips, Sundowner passenger seat, alarm system, battery tender and charger, chrome sprocket cover, chrome clutch and brake levers, oversized chrome mirrors, chrome belt guard, Live to Ride, Ride to Live handle bar clamp and outer primary cover, and chrome oil cap. Also comes with a sissy bar, cloth Harley bike cover, and removable windshield. Bike has 21,600 miles and always been garage kept. AMA Honors Zero and Scot Harden with Bessie Stringfield Award

The American Motorcyclist Association has bestowed a special recognition award to Zero Motorcycles and its Vice President of Marketing, Hall-of-Famer Scot Harden, for their work in attracting new riders and the positive impact they’ve delivered to mainstream media. Harden (pictured above from our recent Zero FX dirt riding review) and Zero were awarded the AMA Bessie Stringfield Award which recognizes individuals who have been instrumental in bringing emerging markets to motorcycling. The award is named after 2002 AMA Hall of Fame inductee Bessie Stringfield, the first African-American woman to ride solo across the United States and a civilian motorcycle dispatch rider for the army in World War II.

Forbes Expects Harley-Davidson to Announce Gains for Q3 2011

In anticipation of Harley-Davidson announcing its third-quarter performance in 2011 Forbes.com expects Harley will reveal its third straight quarter of sales growth. The article says that financial analysts expect “earnings of $0.76 per share, up 47.4% from the same quarter of last year.” Additionally, an 18.8% gain in revenues is expected. Interestingly, the article refers to Harley’s motorcycles as “luxury items,” and as such sees Harley’s increased sales and profit as a possible harbinger of an improving U.S.
