2003 Harley-Davidson FLSTF/FLSTFI Fat Boy, FLSTFI - 100th Anniversary FLSTF/FLSTFI Fat Boy Like all Softail models, the Fat Boy is powered by a counter-balanced Twin Cam 88B engine. It cranks out big, juicy torque and comes with carb or sophisticated EFI. What you don't see is a hidden rear suspension that provides classic looks and a great ride. The styling comes courtesy of a high-calorie diet of iron and chrome. Note the burly FL fork and big 7" headlight. Solid disc wheels. Fat rubber, now 150mm wide on the rear. Giant fenders. Floorboards big enough for behemoth-sized shift-kickers. We went large with Anniversary details. Gold-trimmed tank cloisonné. 100TH Anniversary emblems on the seat and engine covers. 2015 Harley-Davidson CVO Lineup Revealed
Tue, 26 Aug 2014Harley-Davidson revealed its four-model Custom Vehicle Operations lineup for 2015, adding new CVO versions of the Road Glide Ultra and Street Glide to go with the returning CVO Softail Deluxe and CVO Limited. Our own Evans Brasfield is currently in Sonoma, Calif., for Harley-Davidson’s 2015 press launch, and he’ll have full first ride reports later this week. For now, let’s take a look at the CVO models.
Dave Grohl Drums to the Sound of a Harley-Davidson Motorcycle
Fri, 31 Jul 2009I’ve got a lot of respect for Dave Grohl. He’s amazingly talented and very driven. Even after Nirvana, the guy is still kicking and in the spotlight with the Foo Fighters and the millions of other side projects he’s done (ie: Queens of the Stone Age). Apparently he’s also a big motorcycle guy. Harley-Davidson did a little video on Dave, featuring him drumming on a snare drum to the exhaust pipes of a Harley-Davidson. The seven minute video goes on about how Mr Grohl bought his first motorcycle when the Nirvana album “Nevermind” started to become big.
A Seattle Seahawks-Themed Motorcycle. Why? Because Football. And Charity.
Fri, 23 Aug 2013With the return of football season upon us (that’s American football for our international readers), we thought it best to feature, what else, but a motorcycle. In this particular case, it’s a Seattle Seahawks-themed custom based on a 2005 Harley-Davidson Road King, the same year the Hawks made it to the Super Bowl. The man behind the custom, award-winning bike builder and Seattle resident, Keith Wong, was approached by Patrick ‘PT’ Town, the founder and executive director of Union Ride & Charity Rally - a charity event to raise money for several non-profits including Northwest Harvest, A.N.E.W., Helmets to Hardhats and the Awareness, Education and Prevention of Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) in Youth Football.
