For sale is a 100th Anniversary 2003 Harley-Davidson XL 883C Sportster Custom. Colors are vivid black and sterling silver. The bike has only 1840 actual miles on it and has been stored indoors since purchase. The bike is in near mint condition. A Harley Davidson windshield and chrome side coveres have been installed. The bike has also been lowered with HD lowering shocks and shorter kickstand. Forward controls have been relocated to standard position as well and aftermarket mirrors have been installed. A new battery was installed approximately. four months ago. An easy pull clutch ramp was also installed to reduce clutch pull effort. Original shocks,kickstand, clutch pull ramp, mirrors and parts related to relocating forward controls have all been kept and are included in sale in case you want to reinstall them (shocks are not in photo but they are included). 2013-2014 Harley-Davidson Breakout Recalled for Faulty Fuel Indicators
Thu, 17 Apr 2014Harley-Davidson is recalling 2013-2014 Breakout models, including CVO versions, because the fuel level indication system may not be properly reading the correct amounts of fuel. As of this publishing, recalls have been announced by government agencies in Australia and Canada; the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has not yet posted a recall but U.S.-based members of the Harley-DavidsonForums.com report American dealerships have already started receiving recall bulletins. According to a recall announcement by Transport Canada, some Breakout and CVO Breakout models may run out of fuel despite the fuel and range indicators indicating there is still enough fuel in the tank.
Harley-Davidson Donated $4.5 Million to Various Causes in 2012
Fri, 15 Feb 2013Harley-Davidson donated more than $4.5 million to support various charitable groups in 2012. The donations, which include both grants and merchandise, went to several organizations, including those around Harley-Davidson‘s bases in Milwaukee, Wis., York, Pa., and Kansas City, Mo., but also to groups across the nation. The Milwaukee chapter of Habitat for Humanity received a $200,000 grant for its Neighborhood Revitalization Initiative, helping fund housing projects in the Washington Park community.
Zero Motorcycles Launches Dealer Network
Tue, 12 Jul 2011Zero Motorcycles announced a new network of eight dealerships as the electric motorcycle company begins the transition from an online-based sales model to a traditional showroom sales model. Until now, Zero conducts its sales over the Internet with the help of a system of Independent Representatives around the country who use a handful of demo models instead of actual inventory to showcase the brand. As both demand and production have increased, Zero is ready to adopt a new dealer-based model.
