The original was light-footed and powerful, with no respect for any machine lined up along side it. The XL 1200S never lets you forget that. Just look at the low bars and blacked-out metal. We gave it a complete redesign last year, with higher compression, dual-spark-plug heads, hotter cams and a single-fire ignition. You get a ride to match. Cartridge-type damping on the fork. Gas reservoir shocks in back. Adjustable pre-load, compression and rebound. Triple disc brakes. Sticky performance tires. Can there be a factory hot rod?

Harley-Davidson Confirms Project Livewire Will Appear In Avengers Movie
Fri, 25 Jul 2014From the “Unless-You’ve-Been-Living-Under-A-Rock” department comes Harley-Davidson’s announcement today at the San Diego Comic-Con, that H-D’s first electric motorcycle, the Livewire, will indeed be used in Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron movie as the ride of choice for Natasha Romanoff (a.k.a. Black Widow) played by Scarlett Johansson, in an epic scene with Captain America in the film.
