Harley-Davidson Other description

2001 Harley-Davidson FLSTC/FLSTCI Heritage Softail Classic, Great looking Heritage has pipes, rims, chrome front end and more! - The Heritage Softail Classic is the motorcycle that, maybe more than any other machine past or present, embodies the American love affair with the open road. It has all the style of the original dressers that roamed the nation’s early highways. The beefy fork tubes and massive chrome headlight with passing lamps look just like they did on a ’49 Hydra Glide. The studded seat and saddlebags are vintage Harley. Carrying it all down the road are the hidden Softail suspension and Twin Cam 88B engine. Modern function that makes the lure of the open road more powerful than ever.

Harley-Davidson Museum today posted on its Facebook page a selection of photos it received as part of collection of images and memorabilia donated by a former Harley employee. According to the Facebook post former H-D employee Bob Jameson donated “ two scrapbooks, numerous photographs, news clippings and other company related materials” for the museum’s collection. Jameson, following in his father’s footsteps, worked for The Motor Company, and in 1960 helped develop a motorcycle suited for use in the Vietnam war.
