1999 Harley-Davidson XL 1200C Sportster 1200 Custom, XL1200C Sportster - In the opinion of many, the original 1200 Custom put together an unbeatable combination of Sportster performance and Harley-Davidson good looks. Just the chromed-out 1200 engine was enough to have riders drooling on their boots. For 1999 we’ve dialed it up to the next notch. The foot controls are forward, pushing the styling even further. The front suspension is taller. There are classic new drag bars on the Custom’s unique chrome riser. It’s a dazzling look, from the 21ä laced front wheel to the slotted disc in the rear. We could only top it with a cloisonné emblem on the tank.

Harley-Davidson Denies Plans for Small-Displacement Model for India
Fri, 18 May 2012India’s 13-million-unit-per-year motorcycle market is comprised of mostly small-displacement models, so it sounds odd at first when manufacturers such as Harley-Davidson and Triumph enter the market with their larger-displacment models. The question quickly arises as to whether they will stick with their existing big-bore models or introduce an all-new, small-capacity model for the Indian market. Manufacturers like the Big Four from Japan already produce smaller models for other markets so it’s a relatively easy task for them to introduce new models such as Honda‘s recently launched 109cc Dream Yuga.
Q1 2013 US Motorcycle Sales Results – Sales Down 14.7% from 2011
Wed, 01 May 2013U.S. motorcycle sales were down 14.7% over the first quarter compared to the same period last year, reports the Motorcycle Industry Council. The industry group, which collected data from 20 reporting manufacturers, says American consumers bought 93,375 motorcycles and scooters in the first three months of 2013, down from the 109,425 vehicles purchased in the same period of 2012.
