You can’t miss the gorgeous leather saddlebags. They’re made by stretching leather over a hard shell interior. It makes things more accessible, and stands up to weather and long miles. We give the leather a tooled design that’s also picked up on the custom seat. We created a 3D metal emblem just for the Classic. It appears on the fender tip, tank and seat valance. Forbes Expects Harley-Davidson to Announce Gains for Q3 2011
Mon, 17 Oct 2011In anticipation of Harley-Davidson announcing its third-quarter performance in 2011 Forbes.com expects Harley will reveal its third straight quarter of sales growth. The article says that financial analysts expect “earnings of $0.76 per share, up 47.4% from the same quarter of last year.” Additionally, an 18.8% gain in revenues is expected. Interestingly, the article refers to Harley’s motorcycles as “luxury items,” and as such sees Harley’s increased sales and profit as a possible harbinger of an improving U.S.
2011 AMA Pro Vance & Hines XR1200 Champion Chris Fillmore
Tue, 06 Sep 2011Chris Fillmore of Oxford, Mich., has won the 2011 AMA Pro Vance & Hines XR1200 Championship. Fillmore ended the season on a victorious note, winning the 2011 AMA Pro Road Racing season finale at New Jersey Motorsports Park. The Bruce Rossmeyer/Geico racer finished the season with five wins and eight podium appearances in nine races in the Harley-Davidson XR1200 spec racing series.
