Harley-Davidson Other description

1998 Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail CLASSIC, This is a 1998 Harley-Davidson FLSTC Heritage Softail Classic. I bought this bike brand new in 1998 and it has been garage kept its entire life. It has an 80 cubic inch Evolution engine, with Samson exhaust. It is midnight blue and has matching factory 5-gallon H-D tanks. I am confident you will not find a '98 softail in better condition. It's had all of the scheduled Harley maintenance and 12,170 original miles. A new rear tire was installed at the 10,000 mile service. Original windshield, rear seat, and sissy bar included. I have added chrome: Front fork sliders, handlebars & control bezels, tear drop mirrors, front headlight bezel, controls, license plate cover, foot boards, and grips. $9,000.00 -- Trey (512)731-4772.

2013-2014 Harley-Davidson Breakout Recalled for Faulty Fuel Indicators

Thu, 17 Apr 2014

Harley-Davidson is recalling 2013-2014 Breakout models, including CVO versions, because the fuel level indication system may not be properly reading the correct amounts of fuel. As of this publishing, recalls have been announced by government agencies in Australia and Canada; the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has not yet posted a recall but U.S.-based members of the Harley-DavidsonForums.com report American dealerships have already started receiving recall bulletins. According to a recall announcement by Transport Canada, some Breakout and CVO Breakout models may run out of fuel despite the fuel and range indicators indicating there is still enough fuel in the tank.
