Harley-Davidson Other description

1998 Harley Davidson FLSTC Heritage Softail. This is a very original bike in terrific shape with low miles. The paint on this bike is in amazing shape. This bike has been kept mainly in it's original state other than some tasteful additions. it only has 15k miles on it and rides like a dream. Just did a complete service on the bike before listing it so it is ready to go. It has the original saddlebags, sissybar and windshield on it, also has a nice set of duel exhaust installed on it that sounds great and looks great on the bike. Also has chrome lower legs on the bike that also look great, as well as Harley Davidson Nostalgia series driver and passenger floorboard inserts on it also has headlamp and passing lamp extended headlamp trim rings that give the lamps a great look as well as chrome engine guard that looks good. Paint on the bike is in near mint condition and for the year would consider it mint only flaw I could find was a pencil tip size mark on the front fender other than that the tanks rear fender and rest of front fender are flawless. Chrome is also good only area of concern is 1 of the heat shields that you can see in the picture of the engine has pitting. The straight 1 that runs along the bottom that runs from the front head, the other heat shields are fine. The images should tell the story with the bike and what else has been done to it. Nothing has been mechanically at all it is still stock and still has the stock carburetor on it which is the way you want to buy one. this is a great chance to get and original low mileage Heritage with a attractive engine at a terrific price.

Harley-Davidson Breakout Recall Caused by Fuel Tank Angle

Fri, 25 Apr 2014

An official recall announcement by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration sheds some light on the cause of a recall campaign on 2013-2014 Harley-Davidson Breakout and CVO Breakout models. We wrote about the recall last week, after campaigns were initiated in Canada and Australia to address a problem with the fuel sensors not properly reading the correct volume of fuel. We now know the problem is caused by the angle of the fuel tank.

Harley-Davisdon Claims US Market Share Lead for Women, Minorities and Young Adults

Mon, 22 Apr 2013

For some time now, Harley-Davidson has been trying to fight the stereotyped image of its customer base as being predominantly older, Caucasian males. Harley-Davidson‘s Stereotypical Harley campaign became a big part of the company’s advertising efforts in 2012, featuring real Harley-Davidson owners and showcasing the large diversity of its riders. Fighting against preconceptions can be difficult but Harley-Davidson has some numbers to prove its motorcycles are popular with other demographics including young adults, women and minorities.
