Harley-Davidson Other tech info
Harley-Davidson Other description
This is a badass custom Dyna Wide Glide I just got through spending $6000 5/31/16 and its had a ton more spent on it. You wont find another one like it and you cant ride it with out getting a lot of attention. It is basically a show bike and has won shows that's built to be ridden. Very quick and easy handling and with the motor build it has a ton of power. I saved up and had the motor built at Okie City Custom Cycles by a certified Harley Davidson mechanic at 65k miles because the base gaskets were leaking, not because the motor was blown. I figured since the motor was 20 years old with 65k miles it would be worth the extra money to have the crank checked and bearings replaced. Everything inside was in very good condition. The bike was in the shop almost a year and during that time I lost contact with my riding partners and changed jobs. I am selling it because I don't have the time or desire to ride it anymore and don't want to pay a note and insurance on something Im not using. Prior to my purchase add-on highlights - Paint - Ford Harley Davidson Special Edition Red with custom pin stripping and gold leaf inlay pistols on the rear fender (Has previous owner and girlfriend's initials) 21" and 16" Front and Rear twisted 60 spoke wheels Chrome Fork Lowers and Chrome Triple Tree Kurakyn Foot Pegs with rider stirrups and Grips with Throttle Boss. Naked Lady Levers. Rear turn signals removed and Front signals converted to running lights. Approximately 3 years ago I had both sets of wheel bearings replaced, new neck and swing arm bearings installed, new fork seals with Belray 10W fork oil. This thing rides and handles smooth as silk. 2yrs ago I installed a Big Sucker II air cleaner kit and an oil cooler because I felt like it was running "Hot". Shortly after adding the oil cooler, following my normal warm up procedure, I took off and blew out my rear base gasket. I added gasket sealer and rode it sparingly until I could get the motor built. 6 months ago I got it back from the following: Case split motor build, crank checked Run Out less than .03 from both sides, replaced crank and case bearings. 10.5:1 compression Keith Black +.10 pistions Ultima Roller Rockers Kibble White 630 Lift Valve and Spring Kit 7 angle grind valve job with "stage 2" performance Port & Polish and Bench Flowed heads, Compression Releases installed by Sam Wells at Racing Innovations S&S 600 Cam with Timken bearing S&S Adjustable push rods S&S HVHP Oil Pump Hylift Johnson USA Performance Lifters Mukuni HSR 45 Carburetor Carlini 16" Flying Apes Bars, new Performance Machine Mirrors (that wont wobble or lose position) Ultima Single Fire Programmable Ignition Kit Midusa 32amp Charging Kit Stator and Regulator Ultima 1.4kw Starter LED Headlight, very bright, makes a big difference when traveling fast at night. New tires Front - Michelin Commander II, Rear - Dunlop American Elite This bike is in very good condition. Never raced or abused. It is over 20 years old and is not perfect as it has traveled over 65,000 miles in its life. Less than 1000 miles on the motor and received its break in oil change at 500mi. Please ask questions prior to bidding. |

The Hydra-Glide name celebrates its 75th anniversary, dating back to the first hydraulic fork that was equipped to a Harley-Davidson, replacing the springer front end in 1949, while the “slash” fuel tank design, emblem, classic round air filter cover, two-toned windshield, seat, and cases, are all nods to the 1956 FLH.
