I recently inherited a 1982 Harley Sturgis. What's cool about this bike is its highly collectible, and gains in value. The bike has a 1340cc shovel head motor with both electric and kick start. It runs and drives good, but does need a little work. Recently had a oil change, new oil filter, new fuel filter, various replaced hoses and a new crankshaft seal. It wouldn't hurt to give the bike a nice wipe down and tune up although, nothing major. There is another seal that needs replaced near the tranny i haven't got to yet. Only 17k miles on her. This bike is a head turner and gets a lot of looks due to people not seeing them very often. I'm open to cash offers but really looking to trade for a big dog or chopper of some sort. Harley-Davidson Recalls 250,000 Motorcycles for Rear Brake Light Switches
Mon, 24 Oct 2011Harley-Davidson is issuing a recall for 250,757 units from its Touring, CVO Touring and Trike line from model years 2009 – 2012. The rear brake light switch on the models in question may become degraded due to the heat from the exhaust systems. This may affect brake light function and may result in a brake fluid leak.
Harley-Davidson Unveils New Road King Special
Wed, 01 Feb 2017The new modification for 2017 received a Milwaukee-Eight engine, a new fork and rear shock. With a dry weight of 355kg, the bike is powered by a 1750cc Milwaukee-Eight 107 V-twin engine delivering 150Nm at 3250rpm. The same unit is put not only on the Road King line, but also on other bikes from Milwaukee.
