Harley-Davidson Other description

Shovelhead bobber/chopper. Bike started out as a super clean, good running, numbers matching 1980 FXEF. This was NOT a put together or a crashed bike. Won 1 local show so far. Bike alone was 6000. You will get a crowd wherever you park the bike. People will follow you and ask you to pull over to check out the bike.
Bike runs great, and is super fun! starts at 2-3 kicks sometimes even once. Clean title, matching numbers, current registration. I'm selling because I'm moving  and cannot take any of my bikes.

Hardtail bolted on from papa clutch
600-16 rear tire
550-18 front tire
Almost new everything - tank, oil tank, battery box, battery, kick kit, primary cover and gaskets, carb, coil, regulator, exhaust, fork, tires, seat, seat cowl, headlight.
Custom
Exhaust - I made these exhaust and professionally tig welded
Pegs and foot controls frisco style - I made these pegs and levers and the brake system
Tank
Oil tank - I made this out of a kit
Battery box - I made a battery box that fits a on antigravity 12 cell lithium battery
Seat - I formed the seat and had it custom upholstered
Seat cowl - I made this cowl and professionally tig welded
Coil cover - made from BMW r100 valve cover.

Internal wiring where possible. The bike rides great and super fun. I was considering replacing the front tire with a 450-18 Firestone to make it more turn friendly. Rides cushy for a hardtail because of the fat tires. I really don't want to sell this bike. There are a lot of handmade parts on the bike and countless hours put in it. I have a couple of videos so please send me a number or email and I will send them to you. I took this bike to show at born free and got a lot of crowds and positive comments. Bottom line it's a bar hopper/show bike. You'll have to do a couple of things to make it long ride worthy. I rode it around for long rides 300 miles being the longest before I took it apart so drive train is excellent. Let me know if you have any questions. I will ship anywhere. Shipping and handling cost is the responsibility of the buyer. I can take the bike to the port of call after full payment. Please call, email or text before bidding. 619-200-2582.
0 feedback bidders not allowed, I will cancel your bid.

2014 AMA Pro Flat Track Grand National Championship On The Line At Pomona

Fri, 10 Oct 2014

Granted, flat track racing isn’t our specialty at MO, but we’re no doubt fans of the action. See our coverage from the 2012 season finale for proof. The following is from an AMA Pro Racing press release: A total of 15 races over eight months couldn’t separate Jared Mees and Bryan Smith by much.

Marlon Brando Estate Files Suit Against Harley-Davidson

Tue, 17 May 2011

Brando Enterprises, an operating entity that protects the Marlon Brando brand on behalf of the actor’s family, has filed a lawsuit against Harley-Davidson. The suit alleges Harley-Davidson used the legendary actor’s name without a license for a leather riding boot called “The Brando”. “It is interesting that Harley-Davidson – a company that is vigorously protective of its own brand – would seek to exploit an iconic property without benefit of a licensing agreement,” says  Jeffrey I.
